Role
Who you are
- Experience: 5+ years of proven success as a Sales Executive (startup experience is a plus) selling enterprise SaaS to the Customer Experience and/or Contact Center industry
- Sales Acumen: "Hunter" mentality with a passion for prospecting and closing deals
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for pitching and negotiation
- Tech Savvy: Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and MS Office
- Results-Oriented: Self-motivated and driven to hit ambitious sales targets
- The "Internal Champion" Factor: Knowledge of how to navigate complex organizations and empower an internal champion who speaks the company’s language to help position ASAPP effectively
- Relationship First Approach: You are not just a product seller. You prioritize open dialogue and listen with the intent to meet the customer where they are and guide them to where they need to be
- Resource Management: You know how to bring in the right resources at the right time, using the full force of the business to close a deal
- Technical Agility: The AI market moves at lightning speed; you have the ability to master technical product knowledge quickly to stay ahead of the curve
What the job involves
- Generate New Business: Actively seek out new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking, social media (LinkedIn), and lead generation campaigns
- Pipeline Management: Build, manage, and maintain a robust sales pipeline, moving leads from initial contact to closed deals
- Client Pitching & Demos: Conduct engaging product demonstrations and presentations tailored to the needs of potential clients
- Negotiation & Closing: Negotiate contracts, handle objections, and close agreements to meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets
- Market Research: Research potential prospects to understand their business needs and identify market gaps
- CRM & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all sales activities in CRM software and provide regular reports on progress and performance
- Relationship Building: Develop and nurture relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers (CEOs, managers)
Our take
With around 70% of purchases driven by customer experience, call centers are an important part of many large companies' sales operations. But call centers have a problem retaining skilled agents, with high pressure and workloads leading to a turnover rate more than double other workforces. ASAPP is aiming to fix that by providing AI tools to support call center agents by reducing their data entry and reporting workload.
ASAPP is by no means alone in this space, with other startups such as Lang, Gong and Cogito entering the AI call-center market along with growing interest from giants such as Amazon and Google. But it's early start (ASAPP was founded in 2014) and focus on development of its NLP models gives it an edge that it seems set to retain, with a client base consisting of enterprise companies such as JetBlue, EY and American Airlines.
In 2024, ASAPP continued to lead the way in generative AI for contact centers, with the launch of its GenerativeAgent product, redefining customer service by automating 99% of interactions and boosting efficiency and satisfaction. With strong partnerships and a history of success, ASAPP is ready for even more growth.

(Chief Architect)Nirmal joined ASAPP in 2021 as a Director of Machine Learning Infrastructure. Since then, he has held a number of roles and moved into the role of Chief Architect in 2025. Previously, he served as the CTO at TRANSFR and spent 19 years at IBM, joining as a Software Engineer before becoming a Solutions Portfolio Manager, Development Manager of IBM Watson Education, and Development Leader of Watson Education Platform.
