- Extensive experience in brand-focused design work, specifically for SaaS products
- Proficiency with design tools like Figma and Adobe Creative Suite
- Experience in motion design (bonus points if you’ve used Rive!)
- A strong sense of design fundamentals and a keen eye for detail
- Up-to-date knowledge of design trends to create innovative solutions
- Experience working independently and managing projects from concept to completion
- Ability to communicate and collaborate well with others, asynchronously and synchronously
- English communication skills to a high level of professional proficiency
- You must live in UTC-5 to UTC+2 time zones to apply
- Know when to take your time and when to get things done quickly
- Enjoy working autonomously and instinctively to solve problems
- Like to get things right and done on time, where possible
- Instinctively come up with alternative ideas that accomplish goals with less complexity

What the job involves
- Reporting to Alex Stoian, Design Lead
- Working in the Marketing Design Team
- We need a skilled web designer to lead projects that bring our products to life through interactive and engaging digital experiences
- Because we are light on process here at Circuit, you’ll need to be able to work independently, interpret briefs with little context, and be happy to ask for and give great feedback
- There's plenty of exciting new design work to tackle
- Our brand is constantly evolving and has no strict guidelines, so you'll work intuitively with the current brand and help it grow
- Joining our Marketing Design team, you'll lead the design and production of new website pages to communicate our products effectively to our B2B and B2C customers
- You’ll collaborate with our developers to bring your designs to life, and our Marketing team to deliver visual materials like emails, screenshots, and other user-facing communication
- You'll also play a key role in localizing assets, ensuring our brand resonates across different markets worldwide
- Working closely with the Marketing Design team, you'll help create and maintain our brand guidelines, keeping our visual identity consistent and compelling
- Partnering with the wider Circuit team, you’ll design assets supporting various projects and initiatives
- By communicating design decisions clearly and iterating based on feedback and data, you'll deliver beautiful, high-quality designs
Application process
- The hiring process for this role consists of five stages and takes around three weeks
- Because we are a fully remote company, every meeting will be via video call (Zoom or Hangouts)
- 1. Meet our TA Manager
- Meet our Talent Acquisition Manager, Sadie. She will tell you more about Circuit and ask questions to help get to know you, too
- 2. Meet the hiring manager
- You’ll meet our Marketing Design Lead, Alex, and take her through your portfolio, selecting projects that showcase your skills for designing interactive web experiences
- 3. Test project
- At this stage, we will send you a brief for a design test project designed to show us how you approach a challenge and give you a taste of the type of work you’ll be doing! It should take you around 8 hours, and we’ll pay you for your time 💵
- 4. Meet the Marketing Design Team
- Chat about your design project and get to know the marketing design team and how they work, again with Alex, who will be joined by Senior Marketing Designer, Tasha
- 5. Meet the CEO
- You’ll have a 30-minute final video call with our Founder and CEO, Jack Underwood, an informal chat, and an opportunity to meet
