Who you are
- The optimal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal, project management, and critical thinking abilities to collaborate with teams across our organization and foster data-driven decision-making
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or related field with at least 4-6 years of experience in Consulting, Investment Banking, Corporate Finance, or similar fields
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills required, other data visualization software skills are a plus
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills; demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through
- Strong worth ethic with ability to manage tight deadlines, prioritize workload and achieve effective results in a fast-paced, dynamic, ever-growing, and sometimes ambiguous environment
- Clear communicator and presenter and comfortable leading cross-functional working teams
- Prior understanding of SaaS business model key performance indicators is a plus
- Remote Employees should confirm that the internet service available has adequate bandwidth to support all work processes
What the job involves
- LegalZoom is seeking a Manager to join our Finance team (Business Finance / FP&A)
- The highly visible position will be responsible for supporting department leaders, working on strategic projects, building financial models, identifying key business insights, and concisely reporting results to senior management
- Oversee the financial performance of LegalZoom’s Consumer and Intellectual Property divisions, working with stakeholders to drive optimization and strategic growth
- Manage the Consumer and Intellectual Property quarterly revenue and expense forecasting process, ensuring accuracy and alignment with organizational goals
- Create compelling, data-driven presentations and reports that enable effective decision-making by business partners and senior leadership
- Build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships, acting as the finance expert to guide teams on new and existing business opportunities
- Provide strategic thought leadership, driving new initiatives, simplifying processes, and building scalable solutions for business growth and efficiency
- Collaborate with Corporate Finance to deliver key financial planning, actuals, and performance analyses, identifying opportunities, risks, and areas for improvement
- Support the ongoing evolution of budgeting and planning processes to improve forecasting accuracy and alignment with business objectives
- Take on additional responsibilities and projects as needed to support company goals and operational excellence

It believes legal advice and services should be clear, easy-to-understand, and affordable, and provides services to help people make a will, start a business, lodge a trademark application, and more.
LegalZoom has helped millions of people who otherwise could not hire a lawyer, with its extensive range of legal solutions. It competes with a handful of other companies, such as IncFile and Rocket Lawyer, that also provide online legal technology.
However, it has found space to grow its operations nonetheless, partially due to the rise in interest in digital solutions. An IPO in 2021 also enabled LegalZoom's growth, though in 2024 a class action is underway to investigate the company's significantly lowered share prices.
