Role
Who you are
- The ideal candidate is an energetic problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has heavy experience working with and analyzing large volume datasets
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field. MAcc or MBA is a plus
- 3+ years of experience in financial accounting, reporting, or audit
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification or active candidacy is preferred
- Experience with SQL query construction and data visualization is highly preferred
- Experience with NetSuite or other major ERP systems is a plus
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical, organization, and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to process high volumes of transaction data without compromising accuracy
- A proactive, hands-on approach with a strong sense of urgency
What the job involves
- We are seeking a highly analytical, proactive, and detail-oriented Senior Accounting Analyst – Revenue to serve as a key pillar in our finance organization
- You will lead revenue and margin assurance, while ensuring precise GAAP compliance. In this role, you will also own treasury administration and liquidity reporting
- The Senior Accounting Analyst - Revenue is a part of the Corporate Accounting team and will be involved in the month-end close and reporting process. The ideal candidate will have a continued focus on process improvement and automation within their respective areas
- Oversee and manage the day-to-day revenue recognition and cost of revenue processes and reporting, ensuring strict compliance with US GAAP (specifically ASC 606) and internal financial policies
- Own treasury administration and preparation of all debt and liquidity reporting
- Prepare and/or perform queries and dataset updates as needed
- Perform month-end close responsibilities including complex journal entries, account reconciliations, variance analysis, and reporting. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and accelerate the close process
- Act as a subject matter expert for your accounting processes, document these processes accordingly with SOP creation and maintenance, and recommend and implement efficiencies through automation and best practices
- Utilize strong GAAP knowledge to ensure compliance, perform technical accounting research, and document findings as needed
- Assist with the creation and delivery of key reporting metrics and analytics for leadership
- Assist with system implementations and integrations as identified or needed
- Create ad-hoc reports and analyses to support cross-functional teams as well as the Finance and accounting team
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior analysts and accountants, fostering professional growth within the team
- Perform other duties as needed or assigned
