To make cross-border payments accessible for businesses and financial inclusion for all.
Role
Who you are
- Proven experience as a Product Manager with a track record of shipping successful B2B products (preferably in fintech, payments, or FX)
- Deep understanding of the international payments and FX ecosystem. This includes cross-border payment rails (SWIFT, SEPA, local ACH), FX pricing models, liquidity management, hedging strategies, and currency risk
- Proficiency with product management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence) and data analysis
- Experience with product discovery techniques, including customer interviews, data analysis, and market research
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to articulate a clear product vision and strategy
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment and making data-driven decisions
- Experience working in a regulated or compliance-heavy industry is a strong plus
What the job involves
- We are looking for a Product Manager with experience managing B2B products, ideally within fintech, to help us define our product strategy and drive the execution of our roadmap
- The focus will be on our core Global Payments and Foreign Exchange (FX) products, owning the vision for how businesses seamlessly convert currencies and execute cross-border transactions
- You will be responsible for translating the complexities of international payment rails, liquidity, and FX pricing into a simple, efficient, and powerful platform
- Own the end-to-end product lifecycle: from discovery and strategy to defining requirements, launch, and iteration
- Collaborate with engineering, design, compliance, treasury, operations, and go-to-market teams to define product requirements and deliver new features
- Conduct market analysis and customer research to identify user pain points and uncover new opportunities within the global payments and FX space, including new currency corridors, payment methods, and hedging products
- Create and maintain the product roadmap and backlog, writing clear user stories, epics, and product specifications
- Define and analyse key product metrics (KPIs) such as transaction success rates, settlement times, FX spreads, and slippage to measure success and inform the product strategy
- Work closely with the engineering team to ensure features are delivered on time and to specification, making trade-offs where necessary
Application process
- Step 1: Initial Call - A brief chat with our Talent Acquisition team to discuss your experience and interests
- Step 2: Hiring Manager Interview - Deeper dive into your skills and experience relevant to the role
- Step 3: Panel Interview - Present your case study to the team and discuss how you'd apply your approach to the role
- Step 4: Offer - We aim to make a decision quickly after the final interview

Our take
Verto is a UK-based global B2B payment platform, specialising in assisting small to medium-sized businesses with their supplier transactions across borders. With a particular focus on African countries, Verto addresses the challenges associated with incompatible monetary transactions between African currencies and Western countries. By eliminating the need for intermediary currency conversions to dollars, Verto offers transactions that are up to nine times cheaper than those offered by traditional banks.
While many fintech companies have primarily focused on person-to-person transactions across borders, Verto stands out by catering specifically to small business transactions. This is a significant market, considering that 30% of global imports are sourced from foreign B2Bs. Verto's expansive reach extends to over 200 countries, exemplifying its forward-thinking approach in an increasingly interconnected world.
In 2022, Verto established partnerships with notable companies such as Locusnine, an Indian software company, and Xente, a Ugandan company. These collaborations serve as a testament to Verto's promising position within the industry. Building on these breakthroughs, Verto launched a new foreign exchange platform in 2024 that will help it to expand further into emerging markets, capitalising on its innovative solutions and growing reputation.
