Role
Who you are
- We're seeking a high impact Fullstack Staff Engineer to accelerate the transformation of our state-of-the-art virtual call center platform
- 7+ years of Software Development experience in a SaaS environment
- Experience leading technical projects and prioritization with a customer-focused mindset
- Experience mentoring junior software engineers
- Advanced knowledge of Object Oriented Programming, Test Driven Development, Distributed Systems and API design
- A desire to create elegant, scalable, and maintainable tools and solutions
- Experience with some of our primary technologies: TypeScript, React, and PostgreSQL
What the job involves
- In this role, you'll be at the forefront of innovation, working on the Omnichannel (Web Chat and SMS) offerings to expand customer communication avenues and the Conversation Intelligence services to provide valuable conversation insights to customers on our contact center automation platform
- Develop and maintain frontend and backend services in TypeScript
- Provide technical mentorship, code reviews, and technical project leadership for your team
- Identify and drive the adoption of new technologies, best practices, and design patterns in your team
- Use metrics and your team's collective experience to drive development decisions
- Share your passion for learning about technical topics with your team and peers
- Participate in regular on-call rotations to support our systems
- Collaborate with your team to manage and prioritize work through a rigorous, yet lightweight, agile process
Our take
Whilst automation and AI are being applied to industries across the world, customers must still endure long waits and inconsistent service from telecommunication services. In addition to this, customer service agents must answer the same repetitive questions hundreds of times every day, which is both expensive and inefficient. Replicant uses neural networks to provide completely autonomous call center technology, that aims to provide intelligent and human-like alternatives to customer service agents.
Replicant's service understands context, accents, slang, and technical terms, providing far more intelligent results than simple answer-recognition phone services. Although various startups are taking steps towards reducing bottlenecks within customer service calls through autonomous chatbots, Replicant stands out by focusing on providing realistic and engaging conversation through neural networks, providing a convincing replacement that reduces costs and frustrations within call centers of any type.
Replicant has secured a good amount of funding to fuel its to ambitions to expand research and development, improving its conversations, and launch new automated channels. The company also plans to increase headcount across a range of teams, onboard new customers, and launch professional development programs for its employees.
