  • 5+ years of in-house, full-cycle recruitment experience, with a proven ability to lead end-to-end hiring for a variety of roles, ideally within high-growth environments
  • Expert sourcing skills and techniques: Mastery in utilizing multiple talent platforms, networks, and innovative resources to attract and engage top-tier, diverse talent
  • Proven success in recruiting top talent across Marketing and/or Product Creation communities, with a strong track record of filling key roles and delivering impactful hiring outcomes
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
  • Outstanding organizational and time management abilities, with a talent for juggling multiple requisitions and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Keen attention to detail, ensuring a high-quality candidate experience and maintaining consistency across recruitment efforts
  • Agility and resilience: Comfortable navigating shifting demands, tight timelines, and competing priorities in a dynamic, rapidly growing organization

What the job involves

  • As a Senior Recruiter at Ruggable, you will play a pivotal role in fueling the growth of our Marketing and Product organizations by attracting top-tier talent and serving as a strategic talent advisor to senior leadership.
  • In this high-impact role, you’ll own the full-cycle recruitment process, from sourcing and engaging passive candidates to partnering with hiring managers to define needs and build world-class teams.
  • Beyond the requisition, you'll shape and execute proactive talent strategies, aligning closely with senior executives to prioritize hiring efforts and ensure seamless integration with broader business goals
  • Lead full-cycle recruitment: Proactively source, engage, and assess top talent across the Marketing and Product organizations, ensuring a seamless and candidate-centric hiring experience
  • Strategic partnership: Collaborate with senior leaders to deeply understand team needs, define role requirements, and develop tailored recruiting strategies that align with business goals
  • Build robust and diverse talent pipelines: Leverage advanced sourcing techniques, including LinkedIn, networking, and innovative research methods, to attract high-caliber candidates and ensure a diverse slate
  • Influence hiring strategy: Act as a trusted talent advisor, providing data-driven insights and market intelligence to shape and refine recruiting approaches, making a direct impact on hiring decisions
  • Drive recruitment efficiency: Manage multiple requisitions with precision, delivering timely and quality results while ensuring a positive candidate experience and maintaining momentum for hiring managers
  • Leverage data for impact: Track, analyze, and report on key hiring metrics, using insights to optimize recruitment processes and influence broader talent strategies
  • Lead special projects: Take ownership of talent acquisition initiatives that enhance our hiring capabilities, from employer branding efforts to process improvements, driving continuous innovation

Our take

Whilst rugs are a staple of interior design and home energy efficiency, they have historically proven a tough solution for people with kids, pets, or messy lifestyles. So Ruggable’s washable, spill-proof rug solution would have come as a welcome innovation when the company launched just over a decade ago. The product consists of a heavier duty base, and a decorative ‘rug layer’ on top, and Ruggable has been consistently expanding the design range of this product ever since.

One obstacle Ruggable will face is that washable materials have developed enough in the decade since Ruggable was founded to allow competitors to gather speed with simpler products. Brands including home design giant Dunelm, for example, offer rugs that are fully washable, without having to separate out the pieces.

Where Ruggable is certainly strong is branding. The company has done well to get products trending, with a successful focus on bloggers and major news outlets. Excellent reviews and superior product exposure are strong keys to success, especially in a period where DTC sales are king.
