Role
Who you are
- Staff Accountant with 2-3 years of experience in general ledger accounting
- Experience with NetSuite or a similar ERP system (Oracle, SAP)
- Good understanding of GAAP
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
What the job involves
- We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented General Ledger Staff Accountant to join our team
- The ideal candidate will have experience with general ledger accounting and month-end close
- In this role, you’ll support core accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, and help scale processes
- You’ll work cross-functionally and play a key role in maintaining the integrity of our financial data
- This role will report directly to the Senior Accounting Manager
- Prepare and post journal entries and maintain the general ledger
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts (cash, accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, etc.)
- Support financial reporting and variance analysis
- Assist with audit preparation (external audits, SOX/internal controls if applicable)
- Partner with cross-functional teams (FP&A, Revenue, Tax, etc.) to ensure accurate accounting treatment
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies
- Ad hoc accounting projects and requests, as needed
- Identify and implement opportunities to use AI and automation to streamline workflows, reduce manual work, and enhance data insights
