Our take

Team17 has developed and published some of the most popular and recognisable video and mobile games, such as Overcooked!, The Escapists and Moving Out. Its portfolio of 110+ games have won awards from several prestigious organisations, such as BAFTA, TIGA and Game Critics.

It has not always been plain sailing for the company. Back in 2022, it had to cancel an NFT project and also review its business practices after staffer complaints. But it also exceeded market expectations that year, increasing sales and making several acquisitions to expand its umbrella of companies.

With a varied portfolio of companies, Team17 boasts appeal to a vast section of gamers. And, since its games are available for download on a wide range of platforms, it is able to reach much of this market, enabling it to keep growing into the future.
