Role
Who you are
- We are looking for a technical expert with proven experience in the crypto space, who can bridge complex business requirements with practical implementation
- 5+ years proven experience as a Solution Architect or similar technical role in the crypto or digital assets space
- Ability to analyze the impacts and benefits of potential solutions given available data, and the ability to adjust recommendations on-the-fly as more data becomes available
- Demonstrated experience in REST-based architecture, including OAS 3.0 spec and knowledge of webhooks and websockets. This includes the ability to write code and deliver efficient solutions against customer timelines
- Ability to design and deliver scalable and secure solutions for large-scale enterprises
- Experience working with major financial institutions, custodians, or digital asset service providers
- Deep knowledge of crypto and blockchain technology, including Web3, DeFi, and smart contracts
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and client-facing skills
- Previous experience in designing high-availability architectures is a plus
What the job involves
- Fireblocks is seeking a Solution Architect to design, develop, and optimize solutions for our clients integrating with the Fireblocks platform
- In this role, you will work closely with enterprise customers, product, and engineering teams to deliver scalable, secure, and efficient solutions that drive digital asset adoption and operational excellence
- This role requires direct engagement with some of the largest financial institutions and digital asset firms globally
- Solution Design & Implementation - Engage and consult with strategic clients to architect secure, scalable solutions. This includes offering best-practice recommendations, live solution design and discussions, and facilitating discovery conversations to better understand client use cases
- Technical Leadership – Lead complex integration projects, guide cross-functional teams, and ensure compliance with security and regulatory best practices
- Client Engagement – Act as a trusted advisor, translating business needs into technical architectures and delivering strategic guidance
- Innovation – Stay ahead of digital asset trends, blockchain advancements, and evolving financial infrastructure
Our take
The derivatives market has always been attractive for larger investors, but one of the biggest hurdles they needed to overcome has to do with capital efficiency, custody and security. Fireblocks allows for the trading of derivatives on any asset, using any form of collateral while receiving cross-margin benefits across counterparties. Essentially, it enables institutional traders to move digital assets without the operational or security headache.
By trying to make digital asset trading more secure, Fireblocks is banking on assets like cryptocurrencies becoming a new part of the mainstream trade of financial institutions. Cryptocurrencies are known for being notoriously unstable in their value but when traded properly, can be hugely profitable. Fireblocks believes that their cybersecurity services will make the industry seem safer and thereby make it more attractive to new participants.
In fact, Fireblocks are already on to something here. Now that cybersecurity standards have been boosted, a whole new crop of institutional entities has already set up shop in the crypto world. The more that follow suit, the more stable the market becomes - and the more potential clients Fireblocks can access. If Fireblocks can make digital assets both accessible and secure for mainstream traders, as they are doing through partnerships with the likes of CoinTrade, they have a huge potential market waiting to be tapped into.
