- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent extensive experience
- 2+ years of professional experience in software development industry experience
- Expert in Frontend technologies (TypeScript, React, Next.js, TanStack (Query, Table), etc.), with reasonable backend programming (Python and Go)
- Experience in environments where you have to ship quickly. We move fast and deploy daily

What the job involves
- At Commure, our engineering team is at the forefront of revolutionizing healthcare technology by building and scaling the systems powering our suite of healthcare products
- We are looking for a talented Frontend Engineer to help us craft user-friendly, responsive, and secure interfaces that operate reliably at scale and enhance the healthcare experience for both providers and patients
- Design, implement, and maintain our frontend architecture for scalable, AI-powered healthcare solutions
- Be a part of a tremendously fast-paced team that celebrates large ambition and making decisions quickly
- Work across the entire technology stack, including but not limited to TypeScript, React, Next.js, TanStack (Query, Table), React Native, and other frameworks. You may also contribute to the backend using Python
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and clinical experts to translate requirements into intuitive and efficient UI solutions
- Work directly with customers to solve their issues daily

Today, healthcare providers are tackling the growing challenge of too much paperwork and too little time for patients. Many existing electronic health record (EHR) systems only add to the problem - digital, yes, but often too clunky, time-consuming, and disconnected from the tools doctors actually need. Athelas is tackling this by reimagining how healthcare software works, helping providers spend less time lcicking and more time caring for people.
Athelas offers a full suite of tools that combine AI-powered automation, remote patient monitoring (RPM), and integrated EHR and billing systems. And its newest platform, Athelas AIR, is a next-generation EHR designed to unify clinical and administrative workflows in one intelligent system. By embedding revenue cycle management (RCM) and ambient AI documentation directly into the platform, Athelas AIR strreamlines everything from charting to billing. And the goal is simple, to reduce administrative burden, improve margins, and ultimately, give healthcare teams a smoother, smarter way to work.
The company has made some impressive strides lately too. After achieving unicorn status in 2022 and merging with healthcare software leader Commurein 2023, Athelas is now valued at around $6B. It has also partnered with organizations like Resilient HEalthcare to power at-home care programs, bringing hospital-level technology into patients homes. And with over 100 clients lined up to adopt Athelas AIR, the company is very much positioning itself as a leader in intelligent healthcare infrastructure.
