Role
Who you are
- Proven product delivery experience: Experience as a Frontend Engineer in a startup or fast-paced product environment, with ownership of key projects from start to finish
- Frontend expertise: Strong experience with React and TypeScript, and a deep understanding of modern front-end development practices
- Cloud skills: Experience working with AWS services, with an understanding of deploying and maintaining production applications in the cloud
- UX/UI mindset: Ability to translate user needs into elegant, functional, and visually appealing solutions
- Team-first approach: Experience working in cross-functional teams where Engineers, Designers, and Product Managers collaborate closely
Desirable
- Exposure to Python or Node.js
- Experience building customer support or success tools, especially those leveraging automation or AI
- Familiarity with the energy sector or other regulated industries
- Understanding of real-time data systems or internal workflow automation
What the job involves
- We’re looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to design and build the experiences that power our Customer Success platforms
- You’ll be at the forefront of delivering new features that improve how customers, brokers, and internal teams connect with our services - including intelligent, agentic customer support systems
- In your first 12 months, you’ll lead development of intuitive, high-performing customer-facing portals, enhance our support tools with automation and AI-driven experiences, and help lay the foundations for scalable, delightful user interactions
- You’ll work closely with Product Managers, Designers, and fellow Engineers to bring ideas to life - from concept to production
- Build with impact: Develop modern, responsive front-end features using React and TypeScript, with a focus on performance, accessibility, and usability
- Shape the experience: Craft intuitive, visually appealing interfaces that make engaging with our platform seamless for customers and brokers
- Enhance support systems: Collaborate on building agentic, AI-powered tools that empower customer success teams to solve problems faster and more effectively
- Collaborate cross-functionally: Partner with Product, Design, and other Engineers to design thoughtful, user-centred solutions to complex challenges
- Maintain high standards: Write clean, well-tested code, contribute to code reviews, and help improve team practices and documentation

- Culture-Add Interview with Stakeholders (45 Mins). The final session will be with two cross-functional stakeholders, and will explore how your values align with ours, and is designed to be a genuine two-way conversation, your chance to understand what it’s really like to work at tem

tem is a next-gen energy transactions company that changes the way renewable energy is bought, sold and powered. Rebalancing the playing field away from "Big Energy", tem creates affordable, traceable and smart energy transaction management tools.
The company provides businesses and consumers with access to the same financial benefits as Big Energy companies by distributing its own purchased energy to customers. Once they’re signed up, customers are matched with a suitable generator, and the tem platform helps execute contracts, take payments, and manage invoicing.
This is a truly disruptive concept, and is proving to be a successful one. tem currently processes over £50 million in direct transactions and saves millions for over 1000 UK businesses wanting to switch from traditional utilities tied to the wholesale market. Whilst UK consumers are notoriously hesitant to switch providers, recent soaring energy prices is luring many into giving it a go.
