Role
Who you are
- 7+ years of tech sales experience, with at least 2 years in account management or a client relationship /customer success role. Or, a minimum of 7 years specific fundraising experience in a charity. Events, Community and/or Corporate fundraising experience preferred
- Proven success in managing and growing existing accounts in a SaaS or technology environment. Or, proven success growing a fundraising budget line or division at a charity
- Proven experience using a structured sales methodology, ideally MEDDICC (or similar frameworks such as SPIN, or Challenger)
- Comfortable working independently and managing your own book of business
- Loves pitching and being in front of clients
- Curious by nature and loves to learn and try new things
- Resilience and a never-quit mindset
- Expert with CRM tools (preferably HubSpot) and a data-driven approach to account growth
- Experience working at a tech startup or scale up is a bonus
What the job involves
- Manage and grow a portfolio of charity clients, building strong relationships and acting as the day-to-day contact for our most strategic accounts
- Strategically segment your account base to best prioritise resources in line with the greatest opportunity for account growth, upsell and cross-sell opportunities
- Deliver accurate, strategic revenue forecasting and present regular account health, risk, and growth opportunities to the LT
- Navigate complex decision-making processes and multi-layered hierarchies to secure buy-in and sign off with your larger account base
- Lead strategic partnership opportunities and contracting processes right through to conclusion
- Influence strategic direction and/or procurement priorities of your top accounts
- Build strong relationships, particularly C-Suite level contacts across all your key accounts with the aim of becoming a trusted advisor
- Partner with the finance and leadership teams to ensure all commercial activity supports healthy margins and long-term account sustainability
- Own the post-sale client journey, working closely with onboarding and customer success teams to drive adoption and engagement
- Consistently meet or exceed quarterly revenue targets and KPIs
- Serve as the voice of the customer internally, providing insights to marketing, product, and leadership
- Identify and attend networking opportunities to grow brand awareness and pipeline
- Maintain accurate pipeline and forecasting in our CRM (HubSpot)
