Role
Who you are
- You are an expert in the field of finance & control, ensuring compliance with financial laws and regulations, and actively participating in audits and internal control processes
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent qualification preferred
- 3 to 5 years of proven experience in a Financial Controller, Accounting, and Compliance roles
- IFRS knowledge
- Strong understanding of financial laws, regulations, and accounting standards
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Leadership experience, with the ability to mentor and guide junior team members
- Proficiency in NetSuite, Lucanet and Microsoft Office
What the job involves
- As a Senior Financial Controller, you play a crucial role in overseeing all aspects of financial accounting and finance & control within the organization
- Your responsibilities include managing annual accounts, financial reports, internal control frameworks, and control measures
- Review and analyse balance sheet reconciliations prepared by GL accountants and financial controllers
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and principles
- Stay updated on financial laws and regulations, ensuring the organization's compliance
- Work closely with legal and compliance teams to interpret and implement regulatory changes
- Monitor changes in accounting standards and provide guidance on their impact
- Manage external audits, coordinating with audit firms to provide necessary information and support
- Ensure timely completion of audit tasks and resolve any audit-related issues
- Drive the timely month-end close process, collaborating with the finance team to meet deadlines
- Conduct thorough reviews of financial statements and reports before distribution
- Prepare comprehensive monthly reporting packs for the board and management
- Provide insightful analysis of financial performance, highlighting key trends and areas for improvement
- Oversee the preparation and filing of VAT returns, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations
- Advise on VAT-related matters and identify opportunities for optimization
- Play a key role in the preparation of the annual report, working closely with relevant teams
- Ensure accuracy and transparency in financial disclosures and statements

Distributing more than 500 game titles, it also oversees webstores for the likes of Call of Duty. The company offers more choice and value for consumers, and simplified global growth for publishers through risk, compliance and customer support management.
In 2025, Coda began its expansion into new markets and consumer segments through its acquisition of UK prepaid payments platform Recharge. This came on the back of impressive 2024 revenues and bolsters Coda's expansion into the European market.
