Who you are
- 10+ years of overall experience in software engineering or business roles, with 6+ years in product management, focusing on building customer-facing B2Bor B2C SaaS products
- Experience in building enterprise SaaS products is a must-have
- Experience in owning the complete lifecycle of a product from concept to scale
- Passionate about applying design thinking and a customer-centric approach to building, experimenting with, and iterating on innovative products
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, and decision-making ability
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience working in a high-growth, fast-paced environment
- Experience building products for large enterprises is a plus
- Experience working with AI models or Data Science teams is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline; or equivalent experience is required; an MBA is a plus
What the job involves
- The goal of the product management team at AiDash is to understand our users and leverage our AI/ML capabilities to build innovative products
- We aim to empower our users to harness the potential of our products and models through easy-to-use, intuitive designs and workflows
- As a Principal Product Manager at AiDash, you will work with the latest machine learning and data science techniques, combining product and design thinking to empower users to unlock critical value for themselves
- You will work on our Intelligent Vegetation Management System (IVMS) product, which enables our utilities to quickly assess vegetation risks and create & execute plans that enable cost efficiencies with increased reliability of networks
- Drive product strategy by aligning the company vision and goals with market demands, customers' current and future needs, our AI/ML capabilities, and the latest technological advancements
- Partner closely with Sales and Product Marketing teams on strategy and execution around distribution and pricing
- Own the product definition from ideation through growth to help large enterprises optimize their operations and improve resilience
- Own the product roadmap and requirements
- Collaborate with multiple teams, such as design and engineering, to ensure high-quality product delivery while considering all short-term and long-term trade-offs in technical decisions
- Define and drive key metrics for adoption and usage. Collaborate with customer success to drive adoption and business value, and establish processes for gathering customer feedback
Our take
The growing constellations of satellites delivering high definition earth imaging, along with advancements in AI, have spawned a flourishing business in ‘digital twins’ for global asset management. These digital data-compilation copies of on-the-ground locations can be used to help predict and mitigate the effects of climate disaster events - which cost the US billions of dollars each year.
AiDash’s various products help manage disaster and disruption, wildfires, and vegetation monitoring. The latter service, its original one, has a host of high-profile global clients, such as National Grid. The company's expansion into climate resilience demonstrates a keen awareness of both its techs potential and the direction of the market - with environmental issues becoming even more of a hot topic in recent years.
The company has done well to prove its agility, which may well enable it to stay ahead of more specified rivals as they enter the scene. This includes companies like Kettle and Technosylva which operate in the predictive climate analytics space. AiDash's comparatively diverse offering should help it retain a competitive edge, as, off the back of an oversubscribed $50 million in Series C, it prepares for heightened global expansion efforts.
