Role
Who you are
- 6+ years of senior-level DevOps experience, ideally with a strong background in systems administration and bare metal environments
- Proficiency in Go or similar languages
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, and monitoring tools such as DataDog
- Prior experience in smaller Web3 companies or larger organizations with bare metal footprints
- Recent experience building on top of bare metal infrastructure. Familiarity with Cherry Servers, Equinix, OVH, or Hetzner is a plus
- Strong understanding of network protocols and technologies, including DNS, TCP/IP, VPN, and related tools
- Experience with AWS or other cloud environments
- BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- This is a 100% Remote position, however it is preferred this person is located on the East Coast of North America or in Europe
Desirable
- Experience deploying node infrastructure for blockchain networks
- Background in multi-region environments with 1,000+ servers and 24/7 uptime requirements
- Significant security experience, including private keys, containers, and architectural best practices

- As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will automate and optimize blockchain delivery processes across multiple global regions, driving innovation and operational excellence. This role offers the opportunity to explore new tools, propose innovative designs, and optimize our customers' experience by diving deep into both blockchain technologies and infrastructure
- Our engineers work cross-functionally and are encouraged to share knowledge, fostering collaboration and specialization aligned with their interests. Our engineering team values diversity in skills and experiences, bringing unique perspectives to every challenge
- Automate the deployment, monitoring, and testing processes for blockchain node infrastructure
- Manage and maintain bare metal servers and networking configurations
- Work with Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure, including managed control planes
- Collaborate with software teams to ensure smooth operations and support production releases
- Shape the team's technical vision by integrating industry best practices with forward-thinking solutions
- Ensure data security through compliance with standards such as SOC2
- Support recruitment, training, and mentorship of other engineers
- Participate in and support the on-call rotation to ensure uptime and operational success
Our take
Within the Web 3.0 sector, Validation Cloud is known as a node API, staking and data service platform, that helps young networks to develop their infrastructure. Working within blockchain technology, Validation Cloud ultimately wants to help more companies migrate into Web 3.0.
So far, the company has aided established networks such as Chainlink and Hedera, and continues to develop infrastructure for emerging blockchains such as Aptos and Eigenlayer. Early VC from the likes of AP Capital Partners and the Blockchain Founders Fund indicate the interest in Validation Cloud, and it plans to use this funding to expand its technology and team.
