Who you are
- 5+ years successful field sales management experience in storage or core Information Technology infrastructure in a highly competitive environment
- Experience selling to IT departments and IT management is required
- Passionate and persuasive. Excellent verbal communication skills
- Proven track record of recruitment and associate development
- Minimum 10+ years successful field sales experience in storage or core Information Technology infrastructure in a highly competitive environment
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills and be able to clearly and effectively articulate Pure Storage’s value
- Must be organized, detail and process-oriented
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and use good judgment in identifying root causality and problem-solving
- Ability to coordinate Pure Storage resources to execute a complex sales strategy
- Ability to use CRM and other on-line tools effectively
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
- Business fluent in French and English required
- We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Paris office in compliance with Pure’s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave
What the job involves
- Pure Storage France is seeking an experienced District Sales Manager to join the Commercial Sales team in Paris, Ile-de-France
- In this role, you will be responsible for leading and inspiring the High Commercial team while ensuring that the Pure Culture and Values are embedded into your team
- You will provide leadership to the extended Pure Storage team aligned to your district (SEs, Channel Managers, Inside Sales reps, etc.) drive business with new customers selling the full portfolio of PURE’s offerings
- You and your team will work with our technical alliances and channel resellers in an indirect sales motion and interact directly with customer accounts
- You will also collaborate with the French Leadership Team in Pre-sales, Partner sales, and Marketing teams to pipeline and develop business with new customers and existing customers in the High Commercial pace
- Hire, train and onboard additional high performing Account Executives as the business develops
- Closely manage and enable the team’s performance related to KPIs including pipeline growth, partner team alignment, forecast accuracy, POC management. At all times maintain a 4X pipeline to goal
- Recruit, develop and maintain strong relationships with channel partner principals, AEs and leadership teams
- Drive sales call activity and lead by example. Ensure that each member of the team attains or over-achieves quota
- Deliver business results which include annual bookings goal, new logo production and AE participation at or above goal
- Performance Management as a business process. Weekly review of activities and pipeline generation plan execution. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required
- Researching and monitoring market trends, competitors’ sales activities, and customer needs
- Analyzing sales metrics and market trends to adapt or modify sales strategies and approaches accordingly
