Who you are
- Experience: 3+ years in a quota-carrying, technical sales leadership role with a focus on new customer acquisition. Proven track record of teams exceeding performance targets
- Domain Expertise: Familiarity with blockchain concepts (NFTs, DEXs, smart contracts) and a strong grasp of technical and data products, including APIs
- Customer Focus: Ability to sniff out opportunities where Allium’s solutions deliver tangible customer value
- Collaboration Skills: Comfortable working cross-functionally with engineers and analysts to tailor solutions and deliver success for customers
- Curiosity & Adaptability: A Sherlock Holmes-level curiosity to understand data nuances and craft innovative narratives
- Communication & Leadership: Ability to lead with clarity, enthusiasm, inspiring high performance, and credibility, driving alignment and action across stakeholders
What the job involves
- The Head of Sales at Allium will spearhead our go-to-market efforts, leading a sales team to engage, sell, and provide stellar support to customers
- You'll identify high-impact use cases and work closely with product, engineering, and growth teams to deliver blockchain data solutions that drive measurable outcomes for our customers
- As a Head of Sales, you’ll be a hiring talent retention & attraction machine, oversee the sales strategy, lead teams to build and maintain a robust pipeline, and ensure that Allium’s solutions become indispensable to leading fintechs, crypto startups, protocols, and traditional financial institutions
- Drive Growth: Identify and prioritize use cases for Allium's data platform, spanning accounting, analytics, and application development. Build a pipeline of high-potential prospects to achieve and exceed sales quotas
- Lead Technical Sales Motion: Guide engineers, product, and growth teams in a collaborative sales process from prospecting through closure
- Evangelize Blockchain Data Solutions: Become an expert in Allium's data schemas, APIs, and solutions. Articulate how these tools empower customers to save time and money
- Strategic Territory Planning: Develop and execute territory plans to systematically engage target customers and achieve business objectives
- Engage Key Stakeholders: Build relationships with executives, engineers, and analysts at fintech companies, financial institutions, and crypto startups
- Industry Advocacy: Represent Allium at events, conferences, and in thought leadership opportunities to amplify our mission
Our take
As money has poured into blockchain projects and markets, transactions ‘on-chain’ have skyrocketed. While all of these transactions are inherently observable, actually making sense of the immense volume of data is another story.
On-chain analysis (or blockchain analysis) is a field that has emerged to do just this, examining the fundamental factors of cryptocurrencies to improve investment and trading decisions. Allium, that primarily serves crypto analytics teams, provides a range of on-chain data infrastructure products ranging from managed blockchain databases, and enriched data schemas, to real-time alerting capabilities.
Crucially the startup is not trying to deliver the whole package of parsing the data to gathering insights. Instead, the focus is on becoming a platform service. For example, the core product is a unified data platform providing general SQL access, making blockchain data truly accessible for the first time.
