Who you are

Must have good software experience with ERP's
At least 1-2 years of experience in finance or accounting, ideally within a start-up or scale-up environment (experience in health tech is a plus)
Qualified accountant
Has a bias towards action and a desire for mission-driven work

What the job involves

At Doccla, we are on a mission to transform healthcare through our pioneering virtual ward technology, helping clinicians deliver better care and empowering patients to recover safely at home
As we continue to scale rapidly across the UK and Europe, we are looking for a Finance Manager who will play a key role in building a finance function that supports our ambitious growth
In this role, you will report into the Head of Finance, and you will take ownership of our core accounting operations, regulatory and financial reporting, and the development of robust internal controls and processes that evolve with the business
You’ll oversee critical areas such as month-end close, while also embracing the fast-paced nature of a scaling healthtech, handling ad-hoc projects with agility and a solutions mindset
Maintain group reporting processes including consolidation from start to finish. This requires working with local accountants and ensuring balance sheet recs are completed on time
Monitor and manage cash flow, ensuring liquidity for operations while supporting the growth of the business
Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements and manage other internal reporting requirements
Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
Manage and comply with all applicable legislation
Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal control

Making the transition to a digital healthcare infrastructure requires a change in technology, culture and attitudes. However, the shift can be enormously beneficial as it’s easier to access records, clinical outcomes can be improved, and doctors can communicate with their patients more effectively.

HealthTech company, Doccla, is part of this transition and are setting out to to make virtual hospitals a core part of modern healthcare. They secured 26 million euros in investment between 2021 and 2023 to develop its pioneering virtual ward technology. This will help hospitals alleviate the pressure on resources, enabling the early discharge of patients while remaining under the care of clinicians.

The company will be using its 2023 funds to invest further in the technology as well as European expansion, first focusing on the German market.
