Role
Who you are
- 12+ years of FP&A experience
- 5+ years of experience managing and leading teams
- Advanced proficiency and past experience in working with financial systems and building FP&A models in planning tools; Oracle, SAP, or Anaplan preferred
- Ability to build and nurture partnerships with stakeholders at all levels with effective communication
- Advanced proficiency in Google Sheets / Microsoft Excel, using these tools effectively to create meaningful financial insights
- Knowledge of GAAP accounting standards, how the financial statements interact, and an ability to digest dynamic three statement models
- Thrive in a dynamic, innovative startup environment characterized by rapid change and evolution
- High emotional intelligence, empathy, and self-awareness, emphasizing a team-oriented approach that prioritizes client and customer satisfaction
- Bachelor’s degree, providing you with a solid academic grounding in finance and/or accounting. MBA preferred
- You are energized by the promise of blockchain technology
- Experience/familiarity with Slack, Apple MacOS and GSuite
What the job involves
- Circle is looking for a dynamic Director to lead our Corporate FP&A team. As a vital member of the team, you will lead the corporate budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes
- You will also play a key role in putting together our quarterly analyses and forecasts for the board of directors for which our team works directly with the CFO to help craft the analyses and messaging
- Leading and managing the annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-term strategic financial planning processes
- Partnering cross-functionally with accounting, tax, and treasury to ensure alignment across financial reporting, compliance, cash flow management, and strategic planning initiatives, while optimizing processes to support business objectives
- Playing a key role in developing quarterly Board of Directors and investor-level financial presentations in direct collaboration with the CFO, shaping the company’s financial narrative
- Maintaining and enhancing corporate financial models to forecast, track, and analyze financial performance across all three financial statements
- Implementing best-in-class FP&A tools, processes, and automation to improve efficiency and accuracy
- Driving the evolution of Circle’s finance capabilities by contributing to ERP and EPM implementation initiatives and continuously optimizing finance processes across the organization
