Lightricks creates a range of apps that aim to make photo and video editing intuitive and accessible to individuals.
All their apps are free, but offer in-app paid subscription plans that unlock functionality. With 40 million monthly users and over 550 million downloads worldwide, Lightricks gained unicorn status back in July 2019.
Lightricks have recently expanded into creator services through their acquisition of Popular pays (connecting creators with brands). This acquisition is the company's first step towards becoming a single resource for creators and brands alike.
With a growing range of photo and video editing tools such as Facetune, Videoleap and Photoleap which have incorporated facial recognition and generative AI features, the company is well poised to serve the growing demand for intuitive and user-friendly content creation software.

My manager is amazing - they really have the balance of supporting and promoting autonomy down to a tee. I feel like I can ask for help when I need it, but also that I have the space to make my own decisions. I have complete control over my work + the way that I work. We have open channels of communication, set clear objectives and there's generally a supportive vibe in the office on a peer-peer level too. Everyone wants each other to succeed!

Joining as Operations Lead in the UK, I was the first person to take on this role so there was a very steep learning curve and a lot to get from day 1 too! Was I thrown in at the deep end? Yes. But I had armbands, swimming lessons and a giant inflatable duck so I wasn't worried about sinking. I was given the resources I needed to succeed and complete confidence and support from my manager that I was capable. Lightricks hires incredibly talented people and I get to collaborate with them and learn from them on a daily basis in my role.

We have really great benefits at Lightricks. The basics like health insurance are offered and managed really well but we also have unlimited books, games night, really fun away days + team nights out which are great for team morale. The business operates with really high levels of trust - if you say you're sick - you're sick - there's no questions asked. If you need to leave an hour early to do something important - you do it. Next month I'm taking part in mental health first aid training which will be a great opportunity to lean how I can support my peers further.
