Mechanical Engineer, Sierra Space

• Requires bachelor’s degree in a related field (or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree)
• Typically, entry-level 0 - 2 years of experience
• Basic understanding of Mechanical Engineering technical principles, standards, theories, and concepts
• Basic application and use of technical principles, standards, theories, and concepts
• Ability to help develop solutions to routine technical problems of limited scope and complexity
• Ability to work in a team and follow guidance from senior engineers
• Clear verbal and written communication of technical concepts and information
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance is required

• The entry-level Mechanical Engineer I role focuses on supporting senior engineers in various projects related to mechanical systems, propulsion, structures, or environmental systems
• The position involves assisting in the analysis, design, and evaluation of mechanical systems and components, collecting and analyzing data, and preparing technical documentation and reports
• The role requires clear communication skills, the ability to follow instructions effectively, and a collaborative approach to achieving project goals and meeting deadlines
• You will collect and analyze data related to mechanical systems, propulsion, structures, structural analysis, or environmental systems to support engineering objectives
• Additionally, you will contribute to the resolution of routine technical problems of limited scope and complexity
• Preparing technical documentation and reports to communicate findings and support project objectives will be a key part of your responsibilities
• You will work effectively within cross-functional teams to achieve project goals and meet deadlines, while clearly communicating technical concepts and information both verbally and in writing to ensure alignment and collaboration
