Role
Who you are
- 2+ years of experience in a customer-facing technical role, such as a Customer Success Engineer or Technical Account Manager
- 2+ years of professional experience as a software engineer
- Strong communication and customer service skills, with ability to prioritize competing escalations
- Detail-oriented, organized, and process-driven, with a collaborative and team-oriented approach
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Enjoys fast paced work and context switching
What the job involves
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for Violet customers, ensuring their satisfaction and success. This includes simplifying and explaining complex technical concepts to customers while also triaging work for the internal Violet team
- Provide daily expert guidance to existing customers, as well as technical guidance and support during the implementation and onboarding process, ensuring smooth and successful adoption of our platform
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues with excellent attention to detail, investigating root cause, and finding solutions
- Demonstrate an ability to learn complex business software and master best practice use of the software
- Utilize strong technical skills, including experience with Java - Spring framework for backend development, JavaScript with Next.js for frontend development, and familiarity with databases such as MySQL, Postgres, and Redis
- Ability to understand basic SQL syntax for investigating software issues and making changes to data
- Collaborate closely with software engineers and product managers to communicate customer needs, resolve challenging issues, and drive product improvements

Violet's universal API allows sellers to seamlessly integrate applications with multiple merchant platforms.
Violet's API enables applications to connect directly to a brand or retailer's backend system, meaning each in-app purchase is no different than a purchase directly on a merchant’s website. It integrates with all leading eCommerce platforms, including Shopify and Magento, and supports synced product data and dynamic checkout, allowing for an optimal customer experience.
Back in 2021, Violet raised $10 million in Series A funding, with big-name fintech company Klarna leading the investment. It has put this funding to use with the further development of its technology, while simultaneously scaling its customer base.
