Role
Who you are
- 8-10+ years of sales & sales leadership experience, ideally in SaaS
- Proven success in scaling SMB sales teams and meeting/exceeding annual revenue targets in a high-growth or scale-up environment
- Expertise in building and executing sales pipelines, identifying new opportunities, and growing existing customer relationships
- Experience with HubSpot CRM and strong data-driven sales management skills, including funnel management and forecasting
- Deep understanding of sales methodologies (e.g., Solution Selling, Value Selling) and the ability to train & develop sales teams effectively
- Strong leadership & coaching skills, with the ability to inspire and drive high-performance teams

What the job involves
- As the Director of SMB Sales, you will be responsible for owning the full sales cycle, from lead generation to deal closure, while managing and growing a high-performing sales team
- You’ll build a scalable and repeatable SMB sales engine, leveraging your expertise in SaaS sales, CRM analytics, and relationship-driven selling to exceed revenue targets
- This is a critical role where you’ll work cross-functionally with Customer Success, Product, and Marketing to align on sales strategies, refine processes, and drive business expansion
- Lead & Scale: Manage and mentor a team of SMB Sales Managers and Account Executives to achieve and exceed sales targets
- Drive Revenue Growth: Own the entire sales cycle, focusing on both new business acquisition and renewal/expansion opportunities within existing accounts
- Pipeline Development: Build, manage, and optimize the sales pipeline, ensuring accurate forecasting and strong pipeline coverage
- Strategic Sales Execution: Formulate and implement data-driven sales strategies, leveraging sales methodologies (e.g., Solution Selling, Strategic Selling, Value Selling)
- CRM & Analytics: Use HubSpot and sales analytics tools to track performance, optimize funnel efficiency, and drive team productivity
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Customer Success, Product, and Marketing to align go-to-market strategies and improve customer acquisition & retention

Whilst last-mile delivery warehouses save small businesses from having to build their own delivery infrastructure, working exclusively with a single provider can greatly limit delivery options and stall a company's growth.
Burq provides an on-demand B2C delivery service platform which allows businesses to access multiple delivery providers for same-day delivery. The platform integrates directly with major sales platforms such as Zapier and Shopify, offering an analytic dashboard and delivery tracker across different modes of transport and providers.
Taking advantage of the growth in the last-mile delivery sector, Burq has scaled its operations, swiftly building a thriving customer base in the small retailer and startup sectors. Having received funding from investors such as Village Global, it is aiming to hire additional talent and increase its marketing reach to bring on new clients.
