- 3+ years of full-time experience in full-cycle recruiting
- Ability to handle confidential information with care and professionalism
- Extensive experience using LinkedIn Recruiter to identify passive candidates
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to take initiative and build strong relationships quickly
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives and responsibilities in parallel
- Strong ATS experience (e.g., Greenhouse) and proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Proven track record of supporting multiple high-touch hiring managers, managing repetitive requisitions, and running multiple projects simultaneously
- Skilled in coordinating virtual interview processes via Zoom, ensuring smooth scheduling, link management, and timely follow-ups
What the job involves
- The Honest Company is looking for a Contract Recruiter in a full-time capacity
- This is a four-month contract role starting in September 2026 and running through the end of the year
- This is a critical role that will have a tremendous impact on Honest’s business as the company continues to scale and grow
- This individual will assist with all aspects of recruiting and hiring and provide support to candidates at each stage of the recruiting process to ensure best in class candidate experience
- Individuals must have full-cycle recruiting experience in a fast paced environment with exceptional skills in sourcing passive candidates, selling Honest’s mission, negotiating and closing offers, and managing multiple positions across multiple verticals
- Own full-cycle recruiting across multiple departments, including Marketing, Sales, Finance/Accounting, Operations, R&D, Technology, and Creative
- Act as a business partner and resource to various hiring managers at all levels throughout the recruiting process from start to finish and establish recruiting strategies that fill existing and future openings
- Manage the entire recruiting life cycle from intake meetings, phone screens through offer management, and on-boarding
- Proactively communicate to hiring managers, candidates, and People Team providing timely updates on recruiting progress and challenges
- Manage the interview process: act as a host for candidates, keep interviews on schedule, and provide office tours
- Create and enhance job descriptions ensuring that they are clear, concise, relevant, and effective in attracting relevant candidates
- Establish passive talent pools through LinkedIn and have the ability to convert passive candidates to Honest job opportunities
- Manage all open requisitions via Greenhouse ensuring that all data is updated and accurate
- Act with a sense of urgency to meet quarterly hiring goals while maintaining a high bar for talent
- Creatively assisting in team's talent brand, sourcing, and recruiting strategies identifying opportunities that will help attract the best talent in the market
- Assist with Talent Acquisition and HR programs and initiatives as needed
Our take
The Honest Company was founded in 2012 by Jessica Alba with the simple idea to create everyday products that are safer, gentler, and more transparent about what goes into them. The brand built its reputation on "clean" personal care - things like baby products, skincare, and household items made without any of the harsh chemicals. Because of this approach, it quickly gained popularity with families looking for a trusted, easy-to-understand product.
Over time, Honest has grown into a well-known name in baby and personal care, with products designed for both kids and adults. Its lotions, shampoos and wipes are especially popular for being mild and easy on sensitive skin. In a fun and unexpected moment, even astronauts have taken notice, during the Artemis II mission, astronaut Christina Koch mentioned missing Honest's lotion while in space, showing just how widely love the brand has become.
The company has been going through a bit of a reset though, deciding to step back from selling directly to customers online, choosing instead to focus on retail partnerships and wholesale. This shift is part of a larger plan to cut costs and simplify the business after slower growth. While it means less direct control over how customer shop the brand, it should help Honest become more profitable and focused, leaning into what it does best while relying on big retail partners to drive scale in the future.
