Role
Who you are
- Extensive hands-on experience developing and deploying generative AI systems, specially Agentic Systems and applications
- Deep expertise with large language models (LLMs) and their practical applications
- Experience building agentic systems that perform complex tasks autonomously
- Strong programming skills (Python) and software engineering background
- Excellent communication skills for explaining complex AI concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Experience translating cutting-edge AI research into practical applications
- Problem-solving mindset with focus on delivering user value through AI
- You must be located in the CET -2/+2 zone for this role!
- You must have at least 4 years of professional experience in AI
- You must have already deployed AI Agentic systems into production

- We’re seeking a driven AI Engineer to join one of the fastest-growing legal tech companies in Europe

- This role lets you ship generative AI features, help build agentic systems, and contribute to the standards and tooling that make our platform smarter every day
- Reporting to the AI Lead, you’ll work hands-on across the stack — from architecture to implementation
- You’ll work closely with the Head of Engineering and product teams to turn research ideas into reliable, user-facing functionality, while continuously improving our ML/LLM infrastructure and workflows
- For an engineer with strong practical experience in generative AI and LLMs, this is a chance to have real product impact, learn from seasoned leaders, and grow as we expand AI across the company

- As a core AI Engineer, you’ll be both implementer and innovator—translating cutting-edge research into real-world impact
- You’ll help define what “AI-powered” truly means for our users, while laying groundwork for scalable, production-ready systems
- Expect deep technical ownership, constant learning, and meaningful influence on how our AI function matures across teams and markets
- Architect and implement advanced generative AI and LLM-based solutions for our product suite
- Design and develop sophisticated agentic systems that can perform complex tasks autonomously
- Establish best practices for AI development, testing, and deployment across products
- Initially handle all AI development hands-on as a core technical contributor
- Work closely with product, design, and engineering teams to integrate AI capabilities
- Translate complex AI concepts for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Our take
As with many industries, AI has sparked a change in how law firms operate. With much time and money funnelled into processing legal documents and mandates, JUPUS has become the first AI legal secretariat in Europe,. It automates the acceptance of mandates, supported by AI chatbots.
JUPUS’s automation platform also includes online appointment booking tools, automated communication with clients and automated inquiry processing. Whilst there are challengers in the US, JUPUS has a hold on the German legal market, with hundreds of firms using its platform, amounting to over 200 inquiries through JUPUS per day.
JUPUS has been quick on its feet to consolidate its European market share, having only completed pre-seed funding in 2023. Its seed funding, obtained only a year later, comes after a hiring spree and is going towards expanding its software and customer base.
