Role
Who you are
- Minimum of 2 years of full-cycle sales experience and track record of managing a sales quota, ideally in the Education customer segment
- Strong business acumen with proven ability to perform under pressure and tight deadlines
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a virtual team environment
- Results driven and commitment to giving the white glove treatment to every prospect
- Strong organizational skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Startup or EdTech experiences are a plus, not a must
What the job involves
- As an Inside Sales Specialist you will be a full cycle sales representative, leading the way in developing a robust pipeline to grow market share by securing new business opportunities and closing deals along the way
- Qualify leads and opportunities through the sales process from MQL stage through to the quota building and Closed Won stage in salesforce
- Identify and engage with prospects predominantly, as well as through curated lists, coordinated with our marketing campaign strategy
- Maintain daily outreach including cold calling, emailing, and social media outreach by leveraging cadences in salesloft
- Contact existing accounts to uncover opportunities for upselling
- Manage your own IQM/discovery meetings, and schedule larger progressing meetings for the Senior Rep in your territory
- Generate interest and drive attendance for virtual and live sales events. Attend and run webinars, product demos, and other events when needed
- Monitor market intelligence, research trends and best practices, read business publications, and seek development opportunities that expand your horizons as a sales professional
- Translate sales objectives into strategic outreach campaigns and implement them
- Use Salesforce to ensure activities are documented in real-time, and adequate information regarding the prospect is communicated to leadership and your team
- Persevere through objections and/or complex sales-related challenges

Working populations suffer from wage and qualification inequalities, particularly among women, low-income families, and people of colour. Transfr was created to bridge the gap between work-based learning and classroom instruction so students can better develop their careers.
It is an immersive learning startup using virtual reality to simulate on-the-job training. Transfr leverages virtual reality to create simulations of manufacturing-plant shop floors or warehouses for training purposes. Transfr's solution has become even more relevant in recent years as an ongoing labour shortage has meant that employees in high-growth industries have to find new ways of reaching and rapidly upskilling promising new talent.
Because of this, virtual reality technologies are growing in popularity among employers and training providers. One of the biggest challenges for Transfr’s technology is the production costs of the VR simulations. However, Transfr is using the significant funding it has raised to reduce its production costs while simultaneously fine-tuning the quality and expanding the range of its simulations.
