Who you are
- Prior experience with credit products and/or credit underwriting to include KYB/KYC processes
- 1+ years of customer service experience with the ability to empathize, listen, and effectively communicate with customers; ideally in the Financial or FinTech space
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation
- Solid understanding of credit card application processes, regulations, and compliance standards
- Strong problem-solving skills to resolve application issues and customer inquiries
- Detail-oriented and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple applications and meet deadlines
- Experience with traditional CRM softwares
What the job involves
- As an Application Operations Specialist, you will assist potential Mudflap customers in completing credit applications
- This role involves a hybrid work approach, balancing in-office collaboration with the ability to work remotely
- Outreach to applicants, via phone, email, and SMS, who need to provide supporting identity documents, financial verification, or business verification
- Assist any applicants that contact Mudflap via phone, email, or SMS for assistance with their credit application
- Maintain processes and coverage for completing credit applications, communicating with customers to clarify any missing or inconsistent information, and request additional documentation if needed
- Collaborate with credit card issuers and underwriters to resolve any application discrepancies or concerns, providing them with the required information in a timely manner
- Process and update sales deals in HubSpot to track application status and decisioning
Our take
Owner-operators make up 9% of the truckers on the road, in other words 680,000 small businesses forming the backbone of the U.S’s crucial trucking industry. However, only big fleets get major fuel discounts because they have large gallon volumes, leaving these self-employed truckers to pay full price.
Mudflap is bringing those savings to owner-operators & small fleets. When drivers sign up for the app, they join tens of thousands of users which Mudflap then leverages to drive sales for truck stops which offer discounts on fuel in return. It’s a smart model which massively simplifies the process for earning discounts compared to the old route of a fuel card which requires a credit check.
Stop managers could be sceptical about working with mobile payments in return for a promise of increased demand. However, the company provides its entire network with a Mudflap tablet through which to handle all payment transactions within the network, making it easy for whoever is behind the counter.
