Who you are
- 3+ years of experience in investment banking, private equity, Strategic Finance or Corporate Finance roles. Experience working in a high-growth SaaS environment is a plus
- Strong financial modeling and presentation skills (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets, Google Slides)
- Experience with SQL, Looker, or other data visualization tools is a plus
- Working knowledge of SaaS performance metrics, unit economics is highly valued
- Clear, confident communicator able to translate analysis into actionable insights for cross-functional partners
- Structured, data-driven thinker with a bias to ownership and execution
- Ability to work cross-functionally, operate under minimal supervision, and drive results
- Fundamentally curious and relentless in understanding the “why”

- Ability to collaborate in the office weekly on Tuesdays and Wednesdays

What the job involves
- We’re looking for a Strategic Finance Associate who’s passionate about helping shape business priorities and influence company strategy through data-driven decision-making.
- As a key member of the Strategic Finance team, you’ll partner closely with senior leaders and play a critical role in forecasting, financial reporting, and driving the business forward
- Own and evolve the company’s integrated financial model supporting driver-based planning, forecasts, scenario analysis, and long-range planning
- Develop and maintain comprehensive revenue forecasting models across assigned product lines, partnering closely with GTM leaders to align assumptions and execution
- Support tracking and analysis of core SaaS metrics, including ARR growth, retention (NRR/GRR), LTV/CAC, and burn efficiency, translating metrics into insights
- Prepare clear and concise financial summaries and insights for business reviews and Board-level materials
- Serve as a trusted finance partner to functional and operational leaders, owning annual operating plans and ongoing spend/forecast management
- Bring strong financial rigor to decision-making and help leaders understand trade-offs and ROI
- Support corporate initiatives as needed, including fundraising, M&A, and other ad hoc strategic analyses

The company contributes to the reduction of paperwork in an office by turning an array of devices into time clocks that track hours and overtime, while also providing payroll support. This makes it easier for companies to remain in sync, running a more efficient operation as a result.
Given that Homebase's customer base of small businesses is not able to pay a lot for its product, scale is the key driver in the company's future success. With over 100,000 customers already, its significant venture capital backing will ensure that the company will be able to grow (notably it's investing in Canadian talent) to provide its services on a profitable scale.
