Role
Who you are
- English language proficiency is a must, alongside excellent business written skills. Fluency in a Nordic or additional European language is also desired but not essential
- Bachelor's Degree and/or minimum of 2 + years of proven sales experience. Perhaps you are already in a similar role or you are currently a Sales Development Representative looking to step into your first Account Executive role
- We are also open to hearing from people currently working in the education sector looking to pivot into a sales career
- Understanding educational pedagogy and the process involving selling a VLE/LMS is desirable
- Education sales is also desirable
- Ability to do detailed needs analysis, proposal development and tender completion
- You understand Sales Methodologies and bring with you knowledge of at least one that you practise
- Strategic and consultative sales acumen, enabling you to think critically, proactively identify opportunities and offer tailored solutions to drive revenue growth
- Ability to conduct comprehensive needs analysis and craft compelling proposals that effectively communicate the value of our offering and align with the specific needs of the client
What the job involves
- As part of market leading growth, we are looking for a high performing individual contributor to focus specifically on growing the Instructure Learning Platform in our smaller UK, Ireland and Nordic accounts.
- This is a role that will require frequent travel for on-sites and events (30%), as well as a strategic mindset.
- As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for the long term, sustainable growth of the Instructure Learning Platform across the UK, Ireland and Nordics ensuring all aspects of the business are healthy
- Lead the development, presentation and sales of Instructure’s Learning Platform proposition for Education Institutions in the United Kingdom, Ireland and Nordic countries
- Monitor emerging trends and develop innovative sales strategies to capitalise and increase client pipeline
- Through your expert negotiation skills, you will secure profitable pricing and business terms with enterprise customers by selling the value and return on investment of our platform
- Provide timely and informative input back to other Instructure functions, particularly Product and Customer Experience
- Demonstrate superb pipeline management and hygiene, providing regular forecast updates across short, medium and long term goals
- Consistently achieve and surpass established sales quotas within the specified time frame
- Foster strong internal relationships with sales support resources, whilst contributing to our entrepreneurial growth culture
- Attend industry and key events; Establishing yourself as a thought leader for innovation in the Education sector

Instructure is an education technology company, creator of the Canvas Learning Management Platform that allows schools to build digital learning environments that meet the needs of their institutions. The platform simplifies teaching, elevates learning, and eliminates the headaches of supporting and growing traditional learning technologies.
The Canvas platform has grown to become a key part of a large number of educational institutions, from pre-school to higher education. Meanwhile, the company has gone international and hit the $1 billion market cap, made a number of acquisitions and invested in R&D. In fact, much of Instructure's workforce is dedicated to R&D, which shows their focus on innovating.
Instructure was itself acquired in 2024 by KKR, which supports a broad-based equity ownership program for Instructure employees.
