Role

Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience managing the development and delivery of consumer electronics products in cross-functional teams, ideally within a European brand working with Chinese ODM/OEM and JDM partners
Experience with audio products like loudspeakers and headphones is a big plus
You have experience with engineering project management, industry-standard processes and you can identify weaknesses in existing structures and optimize those
You have excellent communication skills and a pro-active problem-solving mindset with a strong ownership mentality
You are fluent in English. Mandarin and/or German language skills are a big plus
You are proficient at applying project management methodologies in software tools such as Jira and Confluence. Experience with Meisterplan and/or MS Project is a plus
You have experience working with R&D disciplines such as Electronics, Mechanics, Acoustics, Software, DSP and Firmware, and you are comfortable leading cross-functional collaboration across Product Management, Marketing, Operations, Sales and other business functions — including direct interaction with executives
You have the willingness to travel occasionally (mainly visiting JDM/ODM/OEM partners in Asia)
We’re looking for people who will thrive in our team and contribute to our culture—not just candidates who tick every box. If you’re excited about this role but your experience doesn’t perfectly match every qualification listed, we’d still love to hear from you. Tell us what you would bring to the role and why you’d be a great addition to the team

What the job involves

As Project Manager, you’ll take ownership of our loudspeaker and headphone projects from initial planning through to successful end-to-end delivery.
You’ll coordinate cross-functional project teams and external partners, manage timelines and budgets, align priorities and proactively identify and mitigate risks to ensure projects stay on track and deliver against our product roadmap
A key part of your role will be creating clarity and structure around our complex, intercontinental projects. You’ll build new processes and continuously improve existing ways of working to increase efficiency, strengthen planning and enable reliable project outcomes — balancing product quality, timelines, budgets and business priorities
You’ll also play a central role in connecting engineering, product development, design and manufacturing teams as well as our international external partners across Europe and China.
By fostering clear communication and effective collaboration across different cultures, functions and locations, you’ll help ensure strong alignment and smooth execution throughout the product development process

Our take

Legacy audio engineering company Focusrite has been developing audio interfaces since the late 1980s. Founded by Rupert Niven - an influential electronics designers whose clients included The Beatles and Nirvana - the company built its reputation on high-quality analogue sound and sound equipment. Over time, Focusrite has stayed true to those roots while continuing to refine and expand its range of interfaces and preamps.

Focusrite isn't simply relying on its legacy, but actively adapting to the needs of modern music creators. In recent years, it has introduced AI-driven plugins designed to help turn rough musical ideas into polished, studio-quality tracks. Alongside its product development, the company has invested in the wider industry through scholarships and mentorship programmes, reinforcing its position as a leader in audio technology.

Now a publicly listed company since 2014, Focusrite continues to demonstrate steady performance with a changing global market. Its latest trading update points to annual revenues of around £164M, with stable demand and consistent margins despite wider economic uncertainty and external pressures like US tariffs.

While change in the global economy remain, Focusrite appears well positioned for the future. Strong product development, careful cost management, and ongoing investment in distribution channels have given the company confidence in its continued progress. Combined with its legacy of engineering excellence and willingness to evolve, Focusrite is very much set to remain a key player in the music and audio industry.
