Who you are
- 5+ years of Python experience
- A strong technical background with a deep understanding of software engineering principles
- Meaningful experience working on an AI/ML product
- Proven experience managing and leading engineering product releases
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to inspire and motivate teams
- Experience with Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban)

What the job involves
- As Relyance AI’s Manager, Software Engineering, you will lead the delivery of our next-generation product and then lead a global team delivering continuing to build out the offering
- You will be responsible for the technical vision, strategy, and execution of critical software initiatives that are the future of Relyance AI
- Overseeing the design, development, and deployment of high-quality software solutions
- Fostering a culture of innovation and technical excellence
- Mentoring and coaching team members to enhance their skills and career development
- Recruiting, hiring, and onboarding top engineering talent
- Planning, prioritizing, and executing software development projects
- Working closely with product management to define product roadmaps
Our take
Privacy and data governance are essential for businesses to minimize risk and maintain compliance, but modern data flows are difficult to keep track of. Data is shared through code, applications, third-party vendors, and infrastructure, and the manual aggregation of these sources into one place is too laborious for companies to have a comprehensive and holistic view of data risks.
Relyance AI provides a data governance and compliance platform, leveraging machine learning to build a dynamic real-time data inventory for businesses and mapping data flows to identify vulnerabilities. The platform also provides functionality for comparing data flows against contracts automatically, identifying when data processing activity is out of sync with compliance regulations.
While many other startups are leveraging AI to automate compliance and data governance, Relyance AI has focussed on increasing the transparency of data flows through automated mapping. With this approach, the company claims it can increase businesses’ understanding of their data flows and how to keep them compliant, ultimately saving them from expensive legal consequences and reputational damage.
