Role
Who you are
- We would love to meet candidates with interest or experience incorporating new technology into their day to day
- We are not looking for someone who has done it all
- We are looking for a bright individual, with strong attention to detail, who can grow into the role with plenty of energy
- Accounting/bookkeeping knowledge (basic understanding of double-entry, ledgers, journals)
- Understanding of Accounts Payable/Receivable
- Good communication skills – comfortable with speaking to customers, as well as internal senior stakeholders when required
- Creative mind, comfortable applying learnings from your previous experiences or from others’ best practices
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero
- Basic Excel skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organisation and time management
- We’d love to hear from candidates with French language skills and, or, experience of accounting / bookkeeping within a French entity(nice-to-have, not mandatory)
What the job involves
- We're hiring for a role that offers hands-on experience across a variety of Finance activities, while building your accounting knowledge alongside experienced team members
- Much more than just number crunching, you'll have the opportunity to partner with other departments, acting as a key support in solving challenges and helping the business grow
- Alongside the FC & CFO, continue building Finance to be a trusted function that supports the wider business with timely and accurate information
- Contribute to the accurate and consistent accounting for both our UK & French entities, with growing scope over time as your experience and knowledge increases
- Become the go to person for all Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable matters; playing an important role in developing and managing the processes and systems (with the guidance of the Financial Controller)
- Additional focus partnering with the Sales teams to ensure revenue is invoiced correctly and cash collected on time. This will involve working with internal teams, as well as handling communication with customers around queries and payments
- Be willing to learn and evolve within the role whilst being proactive, we encourage your input!

In healthcare, overloaded systems riddled with room for error are in dire need of an overhaul. Semble (previously Heydoc) is one of the startups stepping in to try and fix the problem. Its integrated clinical system aims to help practices manage patient data and streamline their administration and operations.
Semble is not the only option in the market, but its focus on private hospitals and clinics may well work to its advantage, as many of its competitors primarily target the NHS. The company's cloud-based system aligns the company with the broader trend towards cloud-based operations, another good sign for its future growth.
A well-funded business, Semble has been able to remain at the forefront of innovation through adding automation and most recently, AI to its system. A considerable influx of investment in 2024 will help to consolidate its market position in the UK as well as support the expansion of its newer presence in France.
