Role
Who you are
- You have at least 2 years of experience in full-cycle recruitment including pipeline generation and active sourcing, preferably in the e-commerce industry and/or a start-up environment
- Adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, scaling environment, balancing multiple requisitions at once
- You have successfully recruited for roles with complex and unique requirements, and know how to match the right talent to the right opportunity
- You demonstrate a proactive approach to recruitment, consistently building pipelines and anticipating hiring needs ahead of demand
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and build trust at all levels
- You are highly skilled in using Talent Acquisition Platforms and LinkedIn Recruiter to source, connect, and engage with top candidates
- Fluency in English (spoken and written); German is a strong plus

- We are now looking for a motivated and target-driven Recruiter to join our People & Culture team
- In this role, you’ll manage the full recruitment lifecycle — from sourcing and engaging top talent to closing offers and creating an exceptional candidate experience
- As a trusted partner to our hiring managers, you’ll help shape high-performing teams while driving Shopware’s growth story
- Full-Cycle Recruitment: Own the end-to-end recruitment process across diverse functions (Product, Sales, Marketing, Operations, etc.), ensuring smooth and timely hires
- Sourcing & Outreach: Proactively identify, engage, and inspire candidates through job boards, LinkedIn, social media, and professional networks
- Pipeline Management: Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline for both current and future needs, reducing time-to-hire through proactive engagement
- Candidate Experience: Deliver a professional, transparent, and inspiring candidate journey that leaves every applicant with a positive impression of Shopware
- Interviewing & Selection: Conduct interviews and coordinate assessments with hiring managers, ensuring objective, fair, and high-quality hiring decisions
- Stakeholder Partnership: Collaborate with hiring managers to define role requirements, advise on hiring strategies, and share market insights
- Market Awareness: Stay up to date with recruiting trends, salary benchmarks, and competitor hiring approaches to inform strategy
- Process Improvement: Continuously enhance recruitment processes for greater efficiency, speed, and candidate quality
- Employer Branding: Represent Shopware at events, online, and career fairs to strengthen our employer brand and attract top talent
- Data & Reporting: Track recruitment metrics, monitor pipeline health, and share clear updates on progress and performance
Our take
The eCommerce boom in recent years has shown no signs of slowing down, and Shopware is capturing the opportunity. The company offers a set of open source tools to power the online shopping experience for hundreds of thousands of brands.
There are of course competitors, like Shopify Plus, but Shopware has stood out for serving mid-market companies that were not digitally-native businesses but had to take on digital channels to keep up with customer demand. This, combined with the obvious increase in brands and companies needing help when eCommerce became more mainstream, has served Shopware particularly well.
Founded in 2000, the company only received its first round of funding in 2022. Until then, it had been profitable off its own back. This capital and support from, among others, Carlyle and PayPal will be invested in its international growth.
