Who you are
- Recent or upcoming graduate (we offer future start dates)
- High performer with a proven academic track record (2:1 or above from a leading university)
- Evidence of atypical achievement beyond your undergraduate degree. Examples include extracurricular activities, sports, arts, postgraduate study, research, projects, side-hustles, jobs while studying, or general life experiences
- Strong social abilities and people skills, demonstrated through team-based activities or leadership roles. You should be very comfortable and thrive when talking to others
- A clear and focused motivation to join our team is essential; you should resonate with our mission to advance Emerging Tech through education, align with our company culture, be excited about the startup environment, and genuinely want to contribute to the operational backbone of our mission
- High integrity, kindness, and supportiveness are values we espouse within our community and strive to uphold within our company
- Decidedly nerdy and naturally curious, enjoying the process of diving deep into various topics. We appreciate unconventional or obsessive hobbies and interests

What the job involves
- Encode's Graduate Scheme is a unique opportunity to gain broad exposure, experience, and foundational training within the dynamic world of a startup
- Encode Club is an Emerging Tech developer education company. Our Graduate Scheme is designed for you to join the team, learn about startups and Encode, and then specialise as a Manager in a department that suits you best
- Since launching this programme in 2022, we have had 15 graduates go through the scheme. We've honed our ability to spot potential, nurture early career growth, and train people quickly through on-the-job learning and early responsibility. This role is ideal for recent or upcoming graduates with little or no formal work experience who are keen to work in startups, believe in Encode’s mission, but aren't certain what they want to specialise in at this stage
- Our Graduate Scheme is a 6-month programme that immerses you in the demands, experiences, and aspects of startup life, specifically Encode’s version of startup life. Generally, we aim to provide 2 or 3 different departmental experiences. Departments include Operations in general, Programme Management, Marketing, and Business Development. We constantly adapt the programme based on your interests and strengths, ensuring real responsibility and involvement
- Upon completion, successful graduates will be offered a full-time role with Encode in a managerial position with a guaranteed salary increase. We work in our London office three days a week
Application process
- This process takes 2-3 weeks approximately
- ⚡️ 30-minute first interview with a member of the leadership team
- 💥 30-minute 2nd interview with CEO
- 🐝 30-minute 3rd interview with a member of the leadership team
- 🪐 2-hour take home research case-study
- 💃 Final 1-hour in-person interview in-person (expenses covered)

Encode Club is a leading developer education company in Emerging Tech. Working with companies in Web3 and AI to organise programmes such as hackathons, bootcamps, and accelerators, designed to help talented individuals advance their skills and careers. Over 10,000 participants engage in Encode's programmes each quarter, benefiting from high-quality, community-driven education.
Encode Club was founded by Anthony and Damir, who met while working in venture capital in 2018. Anthony had recently graduated from Oxford, and Damir had just exited his startup to a large German corporation. They recognised that high-quality education and developer access were scarce in rapidly evolving tech fields like Web3 and AI. Thus, Encode Club was created to fill this gap and collaborate with innovative startups and developers in shaping the future of Emerging Tech.
Initially bootstrapped, Encode raised a major fundraising round after two years, which marked the beginning of a phase of significant growth and expansion. Now, Encode Club stands out as a leading educator in Web3 and is rapidly building its reputation in AI, following a series of high-profile events.
