Role
Who you are
- We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer with at least 5 years of experience who wants to make an impact
- We want to make a difference in the lives of those falling between the cracks of the current healthcare system, and could use all the help we can get reimagining last-mile healthcare delivery
- Serverless AWS (AppSync, DynamoDB, Lambda, Amplify, CloudFormation, Node)
- React Native, React Native for Web

- Experience with scaled vehicle routing, scheduling, matchmaking, and general operations optimization
Desirable
- Experience in health tech or healthcare
- Experience tech-leading small teams (3-10 engineers)
What the job involves
- Optimize scheduling and routing for a fleet of mobile clinicians at national scale
- Track and manage a bevy of medical supplies and health data over time
- Work with national partners to deploy innovative platforms for hybrid telemedicine
- Integrate our tech with new, portable medical devices reliably
- Design systems that ensure our clinicians are kept safe at all times
- Eliminate preventable medical errors at every step of the process

Our take
Sprinter Health offers on-demand health checks and lab draws by sending nurses and phlebotomists (employed by Sprinter itself) into the home. Amongst its services are blood draws and urine samples, mobile imaging and vitals checks, as well as assistance with telehealth consultations.
The rise in remote, digital health solutions is helping to bring greater access to care, but it’s also created a need for last-mile, in-person services. Indeed, while the last year or so has actually seen a marked drop in investment into digital health, home-based care providers are still going strongly.
There’s no doubt that the Covid-19 pandemic had a lot to do with this, but it appears that the demand for in-home services is here to stay. If anything, they’re something of a throwback to decades gone by when house-calls were a regular occurrence.
Despite only emerging from stealth in late 2021, Sprinter is very well funded, and has been quickly building up its headcount in California, with a long term focus on national expansion.
