Role
Who you are
- A proven track record in a related revenue-generating role within the ticketing or travel-tech industry. Direct experience working with (or for) major Attractions, Tours or Sightseeing operators is essential; you should speak the language of our clients fluently and understand their unique technical and operational pain points
- Can demonstrate a history of achieving quotas of $600k+ selling into enterprise markets within the travel/ticketing industry, with a focus on attractions, tours, and sightseeing
- Native English speaker or at least 5 years selling in native English-speaking markets (C1 as a minimum)
- Fluency in Spanish a plus, not a requirement
- Must reside within the continental US or Canada
- Willing and able to travel regularly to potential client sites and trade shows
- Current passport and able to travel internationally infrequently
- Direct experience working with attractions
- Sales account planning skills and the patience to deliver against the plan
- Display creative and analytical problem-solving skills with an unrelenting passion for achieving revenue targets
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Be a self-starter who is comfortable working remotely and can manage their time and pipeline
What the job involves
- Sales Targets and Growth: Responsible for the delivery of net new business and client wins
- Deliver against business targets and objectives
- Management of the sales process end-to-end in your assigned territory. Identifying opportunities in the market to position the product effectively and enhance the value proposition to your target market
- Client Success and Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong, long-lasting customer relationships. Ensuring that client success is integrated into the sales process from the first point of contact
- Collaboration with Sales Support Functions: Liaise with marketing, technical resources, and sales operations to ensure a unified and strategic sales approach
- Market Analysis and Strategy: Analyse regional market trends and discover new growth opportunities. Communicate closely with marketing and product management to create strategies to drive sales
- Reporting and Forecasting: Provide timely revenue projections to management and deliver a predictable pipeline to drive forecast accuracy
Our take
As tourism found its feet again in 2022, Ventrata had already put in the groundwork for its sales, booking, and ticketing platform for tour, activity, and attraction vendors around the world. With a focus on holiday and travel experience companies, Ventrata helps businesses to scale up and find more points of contact with their customer base.
Ventrata is notably still a small company that’s in direct competition with the likes of Skyscanner, Booking.com, and Agoda, all of which have international reach. Ventrata’s USP however, is that it also includes website-building tools and other business scaling tech perks that put the control back in the hands of local companies.
Post-pandemic, the tourism industry is currently projected to reach more than $1000 Billion by 2027, with hotel bookings being the largest contributor. Ventrata’s focus on tours, activities, and attractions indicates its resistance to being drawn to the big prize like other booking agencies and instead nurtures the businesses more beneficial for local economies.
