Role
Who you are
- 2-4 years experience running performance marketing campaigns on Facebook and other paid social digital channels
- Technical knowledge of the Facebook ads platform and other paid social platforms (i.e. understand tracking, auction dynamics, ad products, best practices for direct response campaigns, etc.)
- Understand mobile app acquisition marketing and relevant MMP tracking technologies (experience with Branch a plus)
- Advanced knowledge of Excel/Google Sheets for data analysis and campaign reporting (Tableau, Looker, and Amplitude experience a plus)
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills - ability to work with large data sets in order to derive actionable campaign optimization and insights
- Strong organization and project management skills with the ability to own projects from end-to-end in a fast-paced, agile environment
- Strong communication skills and ability to gain buy-in present learnings with internal teams
What the job involves
- SoFi is seeking a talented paid social strategist to join the performance marketing team and help lead our acquisition and remarketing efforts
- As a member of one of SoFi’s largest and most efficient channels, you will have a meaningful impact on the growth of the business
- You will play a key role in analyzing data, finding trends, and developing strategies
- Develop and implement the digital acquisition and remarketing strategy for SoFi's consumer financial products by building and executing campaigns on Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest, Twitter, Snapchat, and other paid social channels
- Drive creative asset ideation, testing road maps, and optimization with our internal creative team and creative agency
- Analyze and understand the business impact driven by campaigns to establish growth against marketing KPIs and forecast long-term growth
- Build reports and own communication with key internal stakeholders to keep the business apprised of marketing performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as the Brand Marketing, Martech, Compliance, Finance, Product, etc
Our take
SoFi started by offering ways for students to secure better financial terms on their loans, and now offers a huge range of personal finance products, including bank accounts, loans, mortgages, investment advice, and investment opportunities. Many customers find they have to go to multiple financial service providers to meet all their finance needs, but SoFi overcomes this issue by putting it all in one place.
Its goal, to cover all the financial bases, sets it apart from many of the traditional banks and even some of their digital competitors, such as Avant, which has chosen to focus on providing credit alternatives. Although it is operating in a competitive market with a lot of big players such as Monzo, Revolut, and Starling, the company has managed to raise huge amounts of funding to support its rapid expansion.
SoFi has focussed on global expansion, moving outside the US, and has made a series of acquisitions to support this - including a Hong Kong-based investment app called 8 Securities. After going public on the New York Stock Exchange via a SPAC merger in June 2021, the company has continued to evolve and release more mission-oriented services into its roster, and strengthened its lending capabilities through a $350 million post-IPO loan. To date, the company has sold over $15 billion in personal loan collateral and continues to strengthen its offering.
