Who you are

Bachelor degree in Computer Science (or related field) or 6-8 Years of production experience
Proficiency in Android development using Kotlin
Strong understanding of the full mobile development life cycle
Demonstrated experience with: Jetpack Compose, Coroutines + Flows, Dependency Injection using Hilt
Hands-on experience in App Monitoring tools and practices
Solid skills in Javascript/Typescript for backend integration
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and version control systems, e.g., Git

What the job involves

Develop and maintain our Android application used in our warehouses
Contribute to our nodejs backend services that support the Android frontend
Oversee projects from conception to launch, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality standards
Monitor app performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize for a seamless user experience
Mentor and coach junior developers, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning

Our take

Gopuff was an early player in the last-mile delivery space, offering consumers access to a wide range of consumer goods (including food and alcohol) with delivery in ~30 minutes through its network of micro fulfillment centers, from which a fleet of drivers pick up and drop off orders.

Gopuff currently operates in over 1,000 cities and is adding more. The company has also made several strategic acquisitions to charge its growth – including UKs Fancy and Dija, and US BevMo!. However, the company faces increased competition on all sides, from Getir (who recently acquired Gorillas), Glovo, and Zapp, as well as high operating costs.

To combat its competition, the company has added a range of new capabilities to its platform, launching features to eliminate former pain points by including advance order scheduling, gifting, and in-store pickup.
