What the job involves
- We're building a brand new Customer Outcomes team here at Capital on Tap, and we’re looking for a Team Lead to help shape it from the ground up
- Leading a team of five initially, you’ll dive deep into end-to-end customer journeys to make sure we’re delivering genuinely fair outcomes, not just ticking boxes
- In our fast-paced, ever-evolving environment, you'll uncover root causes, spot opportunities for improvement, and work closely with teams across the business to make things better for our customers
- Lead and support a new team of five focused on customer outcome reviews
- Review all customer interactions to assess fairness and quality of outcomes
- Identify root causes of poor outcomes and spot trends or recurring issues
- Work with stakeholders across the business to improve customer journeys
- Share clear, actionable insights to drive process and service improvements
- Adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities

Capital on Tap is going against the national trend which, since the financial crash in 2008, has seen the banks dial back the amount they lend to SMEs by 50%. Yet, in that same time, the number of UK SMEs has risen by 30%.
UK SMEs are the backbone of a complex economy that is constantly changing so the need for fast and responsive access to finance is becoming more and more important to ensure their success and growth.
Capital on Tap allows British SMEs access to a credit card with up to £250,000 credit within minutes. Gone are the days when waiting up to eight weeks for a loan decision was viable.
The company has raised significant funding too, which has allowed it to expand to the US and accelerate small business growth. With the company reporting to have attracted more than 200,000 SMEs to use its service and these users have spent over £10B, Capital on Tap is certainly on track for even more success.

- We have put a lot of time into developing an inclusive recruitment strategy to ensure our hiring practices are as inclusive as possible. All hiring managers have attended inclusive recruitment training and we have introduced objective skills testing.
- When speaking to teams across the company, the majority of teams felt that we are a diverse community with a huge mix of backgrounds and many people commented it was the most diverse place they’ve worked.
- Over the last year, we have started to share our own stories and experiences. Groups across the company commented how much they have enjoyed learning from each other and educating ourselves on different areas of diversity. They also felt these talks and discussions bridge the gap between different offices and teams.

We have recently rolled out Management on Tap training sessions with the aim to support our managers to feel confident to support their team in the best way possible.
