Who you are
- Senior-level agency experience across social and influencer marketing — covering paid, organic, and creator-led campaigns
- Proven success in scaling teams and delivering revenue growth (£1m+)
- Experienced in strategic development within client accounts and new business environments
- A natural client partner — confident, commercial, and trusted by senior stakeholders for your strategic and creative counsel
- A collaborative leader who thrives in a fast-paced, ambitious environment
- Comfortable with budgets, forecasting, and P&L ownership
- Track record of leading teams of 10+ with a people-first approach
- A trusted voice at board and C-suite level
What the job involves
- We’re looking for a senior social leader to join us as Social & Influencer Director at Ponderosa
- This is a board-level role with the scope to shape our agency, lead an ambitious team, and set the direction for how we deliver best-in-class social and influencer work
- You’ll have the freedom to define the vision, drive innovation, and influence how brands show up in culture
- It’s an opportunity to build something lasting — for our clients, our people, and the Audience Collective network
- Set the vision: Define and lead the long-term strategy for social and influencer at Ponderosa, aligning creative, commercial, and cultural thinking
- Drive strategic excellence: Build and embed a culture of strategic rigour — from content and influencer planning through to measurement and performance
- Deliver impact: Lead strategy and creative direction for major clients, acting as senior counsel and ensuring our work moves audiences and drives measurable results
- Lead new business: Partner with the Group Growth Director on pitches and showcase our social and influencer expertise to win new opportunities
- Grow the function: Own the P&L, develop new revenue streams, and strengthen client relationships
- Lead the team: Mentor, inspire, and develop a 10-strong team, building future leaders and creating a supportive, high-performance culture
- Champion integration: Embed social and influencer thinking across creative, media, PR, and comms
- Protect brands: Ensure governance, compliance, and brand safety across all activity

Ponderosa Agency is a Leeds-based marketing agency that has been delivering strong results for its clients since 2010. With a broad focus, it’s worked with big-name brands as well as smaller niche-offering companies.
It’s been on quite a journey, too. After merging with Sixteen Hands, Prego and Grapple in 2011, it's gone on to work with Crabbies ginger beer on its UK launch, a TV ad with the Irish rugby club and launching the HiSense FIFA World Cup sponsorship in 2018. It’s high-profile campaigns like these that have maintained Ponderosa Agency’s status as a leading marketing agency in Leeds.
With a string of acquisitions under its belt across e-commerce and market Research in the early 2020s, Ponderosa Agency is continuing its fast pace and steady lead within the UK’s creative agency scene.
