  • Undergraduate degree in Marketing or similar, or a relevant industry experience

  • Capable of seamlessly translating commercial strategies into compelling social strategies and messaging that meet key performance indicators
  • Passionate about building communities, fostering connections, and creating memorable customer experiences
  • A highly creative and self-motivated team player with excellent communication skills
  • Enthusiastic about bringing brands to life by creating entertaining, iconic, and educational content that people want to share
  • Familiarity with digital analytics tools such as Meta Business Suite, YouTube Analytics and similar
  • Bonus: You’re confident and comfortable being the face of some videos, taking the lead on camera
  • Bonus: Possesses a strong understanding of the UK selective education sector, particularly grammar and independent schools

What the job involves

  • As the Social Media and Community Manager, you’ll be the voice and heartbeat of our brand across social platforms and communities
  • This role goes beyond just posting content — it's about building meaningful relationships with our audience, sparking conversations, and creating an engaged community that loves and advocates for our brand
  • You'll have the freedom to bring your creativity and bold ideas to life, crafting strategies that captivate, entertain, and inspire
  • Whether it’s launching bold campaigns, collaborating with influencers, or jumping on the latest trends, you’ll be at the forefront of shaping how we connect with the world
  • This is a 12-month fixed-term contract with the possibility of extension
  • Create and implement social media strategies that align with the brand’s goals, driving engagement, growth, and visibility across platforms like Instagram, LinkedIn, X, TikTok, and Facebook
  • Actively monitor, engage, and respond to comments, messages, and conversations across all social media channels and community platforms, fostering a positive, inclusive, and active community
  • Build and grow our online communities by initiating discussions, sharing relevant content, and fostering an inclusive environment where users feel valued and heard
  • Lead our social media experiments - whether it's testing new platforms, scripting new videos, producing live streams, or working on fresh video formats – you’ll consistently find new and novel ways to express our brand and engage our audience
  • Identify and collaborate with influencers, content creators and brand advocates to amplify our reach and build brand advocacy
  • Track, analyse, and report on key metrics across social platforms to measure the success of campaigns, optimise performance, and identify new opportunities for growth
  • Stay up-to-date with social media trends, cultural moments, and platform updates. Use insights to proactively adjust our strategies and keep the brand relevant and ahead of the curve

Atom Learning is an Edtech platform that uses AI to personalise education. It was founded after Jake O’Keeffe and Alex Hatvany became frustrated by the inequality in education and saw a potential to use technology to reduce the gap between those most and least privileged.

Its adaptive learning platform reduces teacher workload, supports teachers in managing mixed-ability classes, and enables those who are not subject experts to run productive classes. For parents, Atom Learning is also an affordable alternative to private tutors.

The company has experienced rapid growth since its launch and is now being used by over 25,000 pupils, and is also used in countries such as Hong Kong, Nigeria, South Korea and Abu Dhabi. It is now focusing on the next stage of its growth both in the UK and global markets, and on continuing to build out the data science and content that it provides to its users.
