Who you are
- Above all, you are a thoughtful and organized post sales individual, capable of engaging in business-level and financial risk conversations with both the CFO and accounting leads
- You have 5+ years of experience in implementation, account management or customer success roles at a top-tier tech start-up
- You love organization and have strong project management and communication skills that ensure you are able to manage numerous complex projects with a multitude of relationships
- You enjoy designing new processes, and documentation and influencing product decisions, especially when the process is collaborative
- You thrive in a cross-functional environment partnering with sales, product, engineering, marketing, and tax teams
- You have an entrepreneurial attitude and passion to build a business from the ground up
- You have experience working with billing systems like Stripe, Quickbooks, Netsuite, Xero and more
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to stay organized, are a must
What the job involves
- As an early onboarding hire at Anrok, you will successfully onboard Anrok sellers and guide them through understanding and becoming compliant with their sales tax exposure. You will be involved with championing a seller through the customer journey, documenting processes and playbooks, guiding through registrations and more!
- Own the customer journey from the onboarding kick-off through the ongoing scaling of their business
- Track and optimize the onboarding journey on their path from domestic to global compliance, supporting them through video calls and email communication
- Be a product expert who is able to navigate customer questions and guide them to success on how to utilize Anrok
- Proactively engage with data to monitor and support customer growth without getting in the weeds
- Partner with our Tax and Solutions Engineering team to resolve any roadblocks that might arise
- Develop new operational processes, playbooks, and tracking mechanisms to scale onboarding for customers as our team continues to grow
- Help support and execute strategic projects related to improving efficiency and enabling our customers to self-serve
Our take
Software is becoming an increasingly taxable enterprise, in increasingly nuanced and jurisdiction-specific ways thanks to new rulings in the late 2010s. SaaS companies need to keep track of both their physical and economic nexuses, leaving many companies scrambling to stay compliant. Anrok has developed a simple API-based solution to help companies get there.
Anrok's no-code, out-of-the-box tool helps businesses easily calculate sales tax monitoring, calculation, and remittance wherever their product is used, and easily identify new exposures. It’s a simple solution to a complex problem, and the result for Anrok has been impressive funding and strong growth in the short few years it’s been in operation.
This will in part be thanks to the company’s astute pricing model: much like SaaS businesses themselves, it’s based on demand. This makes it scaleable enough to encompass both smaller and enterprise SaaS clients. This, in turn, means Anrok’s addressable market within the SaaS sector is substantial. And that’s a sector that in itself is continuing to see remarkable growth. All this makes it a promising, and as of yet fairly unchallenged, position that Anrok is carving out.
