Role
Who you are
- The ideal candidate will thrive in a start-up environment. Leveraging tenure, intelligence, and creativity to shape the go-to-market strategy
- This individual knows how to sell against legacy systems and manual processes
- Strong historical sales performance and business-to-business sales experience are desired
- 4+ years of consistent sales performance within SaaS or Agribusiness industry
- 2+ years selling into Mid-Market sized organizations (deal cycles at $25,000-$75,000 in revenue)
- Strong experience in prospecting and self-generating pipeline
- High volume sales
- Value based sales
- Proven ability to develop champions and execute a complex sales cycle
- Experience at a start-up or in a scrappy, fast-moving environment
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Spanish fluency is a bonus
What the job involves
- The Seso Sales team is growing, and we’re on the hunt a stellar Account Executive to support & drive customer acquisition efforts within Mid-Market agribusiness
- As a Mid-Market Account Executive, you will be responsible for managing a lucrative territory while generating revenue from both net new customers and expansion (upsell + cross-sell) opportunities within current customer accounts
- You will be selling to mid-sized employers in Agriculture. Building strong rapport and relationships with key stakeholders in Owners, HR, Finance, and Operations departments
- Establish and develop a strategy for identifying and acquiring net-new sales within your Mid-market territory
- Prospect into named accounts within designated territory
- Leverage sales methodologies such as MEDDICC to execute deal strategy
- Foster a deep understanding of the Agriculture industry in order to provide recommendations and solutions for clients
- Present, sell, and manage relationships directly with C-level executives and key administrative stakeholders within but not limited to HR, Finance, and Operations
- Collaborate and lead the successful execution of sales activities through contract negotiation and signed contracts with internal and external teams
- Position and expand Seso’s solutions within existing customer accounts
- Manage all sales activity and monthly forecasting of revenue in Salesforce
Our take
Sweeping changes to migration policy have created a dramatic labor shortage in the US agriculture industry. This has had significant knock-on effects on farmers, the communities they support, and the economy as a whole. Seso is setting out to help solve this problem with its innovative agricultural workforce platform.
Seso was founded by two former analysts who turned their expertise towards the underserved agricultural industry. Working to address labor shortages, Seso is streamlining the H-2A visa process for workers, giving farms access to a large network of legal migrant workers. The company is looking to develop and deploy more services for the workers themselves, as well as for their employers. This will create an impressively wide range of revenue lines for Seso moving forward.
With pressures on producers continuing to mount, demand for solutions like Seso's is likely to grow in the next decade. The company is well-positioned to take advantage of this trend, but it faces significant competition from larger H-2A worker program providers. As such, diversification will be key to Seso's continued survival.
