Who you are
- The ideal candidate will combine commercial experience (preferably in channel and portfolio management) with strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A deep understanding of monetization and marketing of mobile games together with sound commercial and sales project management will make you thrive in this position
- The ideal candidate must be based in London area and have perfect Chinese language skills, both written and verbal
- 3-5 years of experience in channel management and sales
- Proficiency in customer relationship management (CRM) software or database
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with experience presenting to partners and stakeholders
- Knowledge of sales techniques and strategies
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with partners
- Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills
- Time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility and adaptability to change
- A desire to learn and grow in the channel management field
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
- Not necessarily required but it is good to have: Chinese Market Knowledge in a relevant field
What the job involves
- We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Channel Manager to manage and grow one of Flexion's strategic distribution partners
- You will be responsible for managing the strategic relationship, identifying and onboarding new projects and managing the performance of our unpresedented portfolio of top grossing games
- Develop strategic relationship on all levels of the distribution channel organization and connect these into Flexion organization
- Identify and onboard new projects
- Manage the performance of our games, and develop strategies to improve their sales and revenue
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with game partners, and work closely with them to achieve mutual goals
- Collaborate with the sales team to align sales and channel efforts
- Monitor industry trends and stay up-to-date on competitors and market conditions
- Create and manage channel partner budgets and forecasts
- Measure and report on the performance of channel partners
- Identify and resolve conflicts and challenges within the channel
- Provide support and guidance to partners on product and solution offerings
- Develop best practices to foster, manage, and track opportunities
- Attend industry events and conferences to build relationships and promote the company
Salary benchmarks
Our take
Most mobile games developers deploy their games to Google Play Store or the Apple Store, but they are leaving money on the table. Launching on alternative marketplaces such as Huawei App Gallery, Samsung Galaxy App Store or the Amazon App Store could add up to 10% of a game's lifetime revenue. However, the differing requirements of each of these stores are a hurdle to developers, who often see modifying their games features as a serious barrier to entry. Flexion Mobile exists to fix this, allowing developers to easily launch their games everywhere and reap the benefits.
Flexion is unique in this space, handling set up, maintenance, monetisation and compliance in numerous markets on behalf of their customers. While other firms will do this, Flexion's unique selling point is its automated enabling feature, which automatically optimises features from an app's Google Play version to ensure its compatibility with any other sales channel, a huge time saver for developers.
Flexion is working to develop its product through strategic acquisitions such as its 2022 purchase of Audiencly, allowing it to create new revenue opportunities for its customers. With a customer base which includes huge developers such as Top Games (Evony), Onemt (King's Choice) and Wargaming (World of Tanks), and a track record of generating double-digit revenue boosts for its customers, it is in an excellent position to extend its market lead.
