Frontend Engineer, TCGplayer

• You are proficient in many technical areas and you execute with speed and accuracy
• You are able to bridge the gap between Product Owners, UI/UX Designers and more backend focused engineers to ensure a cohesive and collaborative approach to product development
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or a related field, or a combination of education and experience
• 5+ years of frontend development experience with JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, and modern JavaScript frameworks, preferably Vue
• Experience with CSS preprocessors like Sass or LESS, modern CSS techniques, and responsive web development
• Experience with testing frameworks and libraries such as Jest, Mocha, Jasmine, or Cypress for unit, integration, and end-to-end testing
• Knowledge of web accessibility (a11y) standards and best practices, such as WCAG 2
• Experience with JavaScript build tools and bundlers such as Vite, Webpack, and Rollup
• Experience with RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to work independently within a geographically dispersed agile team participating in all Agile ceremonies

Desirable

• As a Frontend Engineer III, you will be a driver for many of our projects here at TCGplayer. You can act independently and lead a project throughout its entire lifecycle from design through development and deployment
• Contribute to the next generation of seller tooling that will set the stage for expansion into international markets, new verticals, and a true omni-channel experience for local hobby shops
• Componentize and modularize the building blocks of our seller tools by growing our Design Language System library to create a cohesive experience across our suite of products
• Implement critical projects like refactoring TCGplayer’s Seller Payments & Fee Processing platforms
• Eliminate fraudulent actors on our platform to create a more trusted marketplace for buyers and sellers
• Implement RBAC into your solutions so that we have the internal controls vital to support SOX compliance
