Just Eat Takeaway, born from the merger of Just Eat and the Dutch-born Takeaway.com, stands as a formidable force in the realm of food delivery. Surpassing expectations, this union has made way for the world's largest online food delivery entity outside of China. Bolstering its stature further, the company made a significant move in 2021 by venturing into the US market through the acquisition of Grubhub, solidifying its position as a major player in the industry.
However, amidst its successes, Just Eat Takeaway faces competition from competitors like Uber Eats and Deliveroo. While it dominates the UK market, its global revenue pales in comparison its its rivals, such as Delivery Hero and DoorDash.
