Role
Who you are
- The ideal candidate has extensive technical expertise and can work independently or with a team to create, maintain, and update our digital properties
- They will need to understand best practices for web development, and content management systems and ideally have experience with Webflow
- Proficiency with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and web applications and services is essential for succeeding in this role
- Ruby on Rails and Go Lang proficiency is a plus
- 8+ years of practical development experience; with heavy emphasis on the technical side
- Experience in planning and developing websites across multiple products and organizations
- Extensive knowledge of web applications, programming languages, and web services — including API, CSS, CSS3, cross-browser compatibility, HTML, HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, PHP, security principles, REST, SOAP, and web user interface design
- Proficiency with content management systems
- Experience in e-commerce applications and development
- Experience in implementing web development workflows and operations using a variety of tools, including GitHub Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks concurrently
What the job involves
- Reports to the Senior Director, Web
- Huntress is adding our first Senior Web Developer to our Product Marketing team
- As the Senior Web Developer, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our customer-facing websites and portals, ensuring that our digital properties are functioning as designed, performant, ranking for search results, and optimized for conversion
- Create well-designed and tested code using best practices for web development, including responsive design and mobile display
- Create websites and interfaces using standard HTML/CSS practices, and incorporate data from back-end databases and services
- Implements new site features, backend integrations, split tests, and more to grow and optimize our web presence
- Engaged in the full development lifecycle designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, monitoring, and improving our websites and portal
- Monitor and optimize website performance, including page load times, mobile responsiveness, and overall user experience
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and technologies; research and advocate for new technology and new methodologies
- Leadership and Collaboration
- Collaborate with fellow engineers, designers, agency partners, and data analysts to take an idea from concept to technical design to implementation to testing to measurement
- Collaborate with stakeholders cross-functionally to determine what the underlying problems and needs are to build the right solution

The company offers a managed security platform, which third party resellers leverage to protect their clients from attacks. Launched in 2015, Huntress has grown well over the years, attracting plenty of investment and expanding its headcount into the hundreds.
More recently, Huntress has turned its eye to acquisitions and new product launches, as well as major international expansion. A considerable influx of funding will support these initiatives, as well as allow the company to maintain sales momentum by expanding its go-to-market efforts.
