Role
Who you are
- The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience in product development and integration, with strong expertise in Core Java and Spring Framework
- Candidates should have a solid understanding of security practices, including certificates, SSL communication, and secure coding
- While knowledge of Saviynt and Identity Access Management (IAM) is a plus, candidates must be eager to learn and adapt to the identity and security landscape
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum 10 years of professional experience in Java development, with a strong focus on Core Java and Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of security practices, including certificate management, SSL/TLS communication, and secure coding principles
- Hands-on experience in building integrations with enterprise applications, APIs, and third-party systems (e.g., REST/SOAP APIs, OAuth, SAML, SPML)
- Experience developing products and integrations, ideally within enterprise software or security-related platforms
- Proficiency in database technologies (e.g., SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL) and ORM frameworks (e.g., Hibernate)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to technology and integration partners and coach their teams
- Experience in developing and documenting integration frameworks for partner ecosystems
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or in a collaborative team environment
Desirable
- Knowledge of Saviynt’s IGA platform is a plus
- Familiarity with Identity Access Management (IAM) concepts, such as role-based access control (RBAC), single sign-on (SSO), and provisioning, is a plus
- Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and developing secure, scalable applications in the cloud
- Certifications in Java, Spring, IAM platforms (e.g., Saviynt Certified Developer), or security (e.g., CISSP, CompTIA Security+) are a plus
- Experience in other IGA products like OIM and Sailpoint is a huge plus and preferred
- Experience with AI development tools in SDLC such as Amazon Q, Github Copilot, Cursor, and similar productivity assistants
What the job involves
- We are seeking an experienced Java Developer to join our Saviynt Field Engineering Team
- This role focuses on designing, developing, and implementing integrations and migrations between Saviynt’s Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) platform and various technology products
- The role involves developing and presenting an integration/migration framework to technology and integration partners, coaching their teams to build and extend Saviynt integrations
- You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and innovative solutions that enhance the Saviynt ecosystem
- Serve as an expert on applications and provide technical support
Our take
Sayvint’s Identity Governance and Administration platform helps secure access to corporate systems in the cloud such as Workday, Office 365, AWS, Salesforce, SAP and Hadoop. It was created to offer an innovative, modern solution as its founder believed that existing identity services were not optimized.
By spending its early years in stealth mode, developing its product technology and switching to a cloud based model, the company was well prepared for a quick up-scale. This has been achieved partly because of the fact that it favours targeting large companies, boasting clients like Marriott, BP, KuppingerCole and Toyota Connected.
Sayvint faces a major rival in the form of SailPoint, which was an earlier entrant in the space, and went public sooner. However, Sayvint is growing rapidly and has converted some notable customers from SailPoint in the process. The company has continually invested in its platform to maintain a competitive edge, earning industry recognition along the way, and has recently concentrated on securing new customers and growing its partner ecosystem.
