Role
Who you are
- You will ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, support regulatory compliance, and drive a culture of integrity and accountability across the Finance team
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (CPA strongly preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of progressive finance/accounting experience within the casino or gaming industry
- Deep knowledge of financial regulations and internal control requirements in a gaming environment
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Strong leadership and team development experience
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
- Strong communication skills and the ability to influence at all levels of the organization
- Must be at least 21 years of age and able to obtain/maintain a gaming license issued by the Illinois Gaming Board
- Other duties as assigned
- Frequently required to lift up to a maximum of 30 pounds
- Requires manual dexterity to operate a keyboard
- The work environment contains bright lights, loud noise, and stressful situations
What the job involves
- As our Controller – Finance, you’ll play a key leadership role overseeing all financial operations of the casino
- You will ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, support regulatory compliance, and drive a culture of integrity and accountability across the Finance team
- Lead all accounting operations including general ledger, compliance, reporting, and controls
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, management reports, and Illinois Gaming Board submissions
- Oversee reconciliation of casino funds and execute unscheduled audits of gaming and non-gaming operations
- Develop and maintain internal control procedures in alignment with regulatory standards
- Recruit, coach, evaluate, and manage accounting team members
- Safeguard corporate records and enforce financial policies and procedures
- Act as a strategic finance partner to executive leadership
- Promote and model a strong service culture across internal and external stakeholders
- Other duties as assigned
